Mia knew how Lockhart was still flirting with her. She knew it was driving her insane.

She hated him. And she hated how he always popped up when she was around.

Mia couldn't help but think about what Severus had said. How they should fake a relationship.

She knew it was a good idea. But she didn't know how believable it would be.

She knew she and Severus were friends. But she didn't know if she could fake a relationship with him.

Especially when she knew Lockhart wouldn't even care. He wouldn't bat an eyelid.

She knew how he was relentless in trying to seduce her. He found ways to touch her while they were in the staffroom. Or at the staff table in the great hall.

Mia walked into the Great Hall. She sat at the table. She groaned to herself as she looked to Lockhart as he walked in. She rolled her eyes as she saw him looking at her. .

"I see Goldilocks is back. Have you thought anymore about my offer?" Severus asked as he sat down next to Mia and took a sip of his of black coffee.

"I don't know Severus. I mean, would it not complicate things? I mean you are my best friend. And you know....I don't want to complicate it," she told him.

Severus looked to her and nodded. "I am aware of that. But I don't like the idea of him all over you. And no. It's not jealousy. It's worry. He's a creep," Severus said s Mia frowned to herself.

She knew it wasn't an easy decision to make.

Mia sat in the classroom. She looked up to see Lockhart and groaned. "So I have been thinking," he said.

Mia looked to him. She rolled her eyes and sighed."That's dangerous. Thinking for someone who is lacking in brain cells. So if you don't mind, I have a job to do," she said as she stood up.

She went to pick up the essays that she was marking as he walked over to her. He grabbed her waist as she frowned against his touch. She was fighting the urge to throw up.

"Get off of me!" She spat as she went to push him away. She felt sick at the thought of him near her.

"Come on darling. Don't be frigid. You know that want this," he said as she pushed him away.

Severus walked in. He frowned as he looked to the scene in front of him. "Lockhart...get your hands off of my girlfriend," he spat.

Lockhart frowned. "Your girlfriend?" He asked as he looked between him and Mia.

"Yes. You heard me. And if you touch her again, I'll perform the killing curse on you. Am I clear " Severus said as Lockhart walked off.

Mia sat in her chambers. Her head was a mess. She couldn't believe what Severus had said and how he had saved her from Lockhart. And whatever he was going to do. But she knew it wasn't easy.

Mia heard a knock at the door. She stood up and opened the portrait.

She looked to Severus. He sighed. "I'm sorry. I saw him touching you. And I was worried," he said.

Mia smiled. She looked to him. "It's okay. So we're doing this?" She asked as he nodded.

She knew how none of it was easy. But could they really do this and pretend to be a thing?
