Mia knew how things were with Severus. And she knew how it wasn't easy. She knew how they were trying to make their fake relationship work and look real.

She knew that he was a good friend and she was grateful for him doing this. She knew how none of it was easy. She knew how they had been spending a lot of time together.

Mia lay in bed and sighed. She knew how messy that things were. And how it wasn't easy.

She knew how she was trying to make it work and get the message to Lockhart that she didn't and would never want him. She just hoped that everything would work out.

Mia just hoped after all of this that things would go back to normal. And that more than anything that she and Severus could remain great friends.

Mia got out of bed and got dressed as she heard a knock at her chambers. She smiled as she saw Severus. "Hey," she said.

Severus looked to her and smiled. "I thought that I could walk you go breakfast since it is what a respectable lover would do. Besides who knows who you could run into on the way," he said.

Mia looked to him and nodded. "You do have a point. Two seconds," she said as she grabbed her cloak and her wand as she walked out with him and smiled

"How are you?" He asked.

Mia nodded and smiled. "I'm okay. I just want you to know I am grateful for this. What you're doing. And no matter what, I want us to stay friends," she said.

Severus nodded and smiled. "I want that too," he said.

Mia sat in her classroom. She looked to see Rosaline as she walked in. "I haven't seen you lately. Have you been spending a lot of time with a certain professor?" She asked.

Rosaline looked to her and smirked. "You mean like you have with Severus. I can see that you are spending a lot of time together. You're not getting over your head in this are you?" She asked.

Mia looked to her and smiled. "No. I know what I am doing. Trust me. You look happy though are you?"

Rosaline looked to her and nodded. "I really am. Things haven't been easy. But I am happy. Remus makes me happy! And I really want to make this work," she said.

Mia looked to her and smiled. "I'm happy for you," she said.

Mia was walking down the hallway as she was grabbed and pinned to the wall. She saw Lockhart. "Get off of me," she spat.

"No. I wanna see what I am missing out on. You choose that bat when you could have had me," he said as he pressed himself against her.

His hand finding its way up her dress as he went flying across the hallway.

"I told you to stay away from her. Are you okay?" Severus asked Mia as she nodded.

Severus pulled her into a hug. Knowing how he'd do anything to keep her safe.
