Rainbow Friends X Reader

Mother's Gone Insane.

The police arrived, they took the survivoers home and investigated them. News spread like a pandemic. Soon someone's eyes began to tear up, and her feelings began to swirl into grief, sorrow, fear and much more.

They say they will be investigating. They've found nothing sadly. The Rainbow Friends stayed hidden as they searched. Red and Y/N hiding as well.

Some months passed by and Y/N was sure it was a new year. They can feel their mother getting depressed and drinking again. They were scared.

"Red?" The male looked over. "What is it Y/N?" Your words were unspoken everytime. You made sure to tell him and the Friends exactly what you wanted.

"..I.. I'd like to go out and see my mom." You muttered, Red stood up and walked to you, grabbing your shoulders. "..As you'd like then." The answer surprised them.

So you and Red said you both will return, Blue was in charge. You both went into a garage, finding an old car. Luckily it worked just fine.

The ride back was silent, your mind was flooded with thoughts about your mother's different reactions. You were also debating whether to just normally visit or stay.

Obviously, you wanted to stay but also just visit. The car came to a sudden stop at a park. "You go. I'll-" "Come along please." You say, unbuckling your seatbelt. Red didn't answer and a click was heard. you both stepped out of the car and you walked to your home.

You hesitated but then knocked. A minute passed until the door was unlocked. A lady was peeking. It was your mother.

"Y- Y/N?" She asked, sorrow in her voice. "Mom.." You said, she swung the door open and you both hugged. Tears began in your eyes. "My sweet child! You scared me! Oh I thought I lost you forever!" She said, holding you as close as she could.

"Thank you so much si-" Your mother halted as she saw Red. He stared down at her. "Y/N.. wh- who and what is he?.." She stammered. "He's er...Red and I don't even know what he is. But he brought me home mom.." You stared.

Her hand began fumbling around, she grabbed a knife that was close by to her. Pointing it at him. "Inhuman thing!" She yelled. Red didn't move a single muscle, he remained calm.

"Ma'am. Put the knife down and we could perhaps talk. I mean no harm to them." He stated, she was shaking and she put the knife down. "..Wh- What do you want?.." "Nothing.. Y/N, did you wish to stay with your mother or just visit?" He asked as he turned to you.

You hesitated, "I.." It was your mom. You didn't want to leave her alone again. You tried to think, an idea came. "Mom, let's go pack up." "W- Wh- What?.." She stares. "Come on. I have much to tell you. Red come inside." Your mother then sighs, walking upstairs. Red stepped in.

The place wasn't so trashed, aside from the dining table having a lot of spills. You went upstairs packing up your things. After an hour or so, we went into your mother's car. The one Red and you were in didn't have a license plate so..

The drive there was silent again. You felt uneasy. The radio was playing music. You've reached to the place, the car was park and your stuff was taken to the building.

1ST

It felt like moving in. It was an unsual feeling. Mother looked around. "This.. seems familiar.." She stated. "Come, let me lead you to a much comfortable room." Red said, he took us to where me and my classmates were. Mother remained silent and she nods.

Blue and the others came in. Blue saw mom and ran after her. "BLUE NO!" "Blue?.. As in.. King Blue?" Mother asked. He halted and blinks. Red faced her, "How do you.."

She then went silent and looked away. Red then walked away, the Rainbow Friends following him. I helped mom unpack. "So.. This is where you've been these months?.. With.. cartoon characters?" I snickered.

"Yeah.. I'm... sorry about-" "It's okay.. It's better to know you were still alive and safe.." She faced me and smiled, hugging me. I hugged back.

Some more months passed, mom has gotten used to the place and we sort of sold the old house we were in. She's tried to apply for another job but failed. She was drinking less now and she's gotten along with the other Rainbow Friends. Even Butler surprisingly.

Until...

She began to then have ideas and she told me of what if we became like them. It frightened me. One night, she was with Red talking. She asked to go onto the machine. At first, Red was silent. He then agreed.

So that happened. She was not my mother anymore.
