Joss's POV

"Hey Joss!" My brother calls when I open the door and set down my keys to our shared apartment. We've been living here for 2 years now, ever since he won custody of me.

"You'll never guess who I met today."

"Hmm. Knowing you, The Rock," He suggests.

"Wrong. Take another guess."

"Hmm King Charles III?"

"No dumbo. Noah Schnapp."

"You mean your old penpal?"

"How do you know that!?" I ask.

"Noah and I figured it out on set."

"Figures." Joe is crazy. Like literally crazy. That's why I love him. I bet he was telling all my stories and embarrassing me the whole time he was in Atlanta. But I still love him. And his hair. I love his hair. Who doesn't?

"Okay, tell me about him. What did he look like to you? Was he attractive?"

"Oh my God, Joe shut up. Plus he's not attractive to me considering he's the person I hate most in the world beside our parents."

"Dang."

"What? You expect me to be attracted to him after he put me in such a dark place?"

"No. But I would think you might have feelings. You wrote a letter to him everyday."

"No. Any feelings I had died down ages ago."

"Okay..."

"Hey! Besides I told him off. And his face was priceless. I'm pretty sure he was with his sister and she was trying to hold back her laughs."

"What did you say to him?" Curiosity immediately plasters his face.

"Well a lot, but- you know what? I better start from the beginning."

"I'm listening."

"Okay, so I was babysitting Beckett. You know him. Anyways, we went to the park and I was sitting on a bench doing some homework when Beckett came up to me crying, because some kid accidentally knocked him over." I pause and look at Joe. He looks interested for once. Wow. Revolutionary. I wonder if he's the simp for Noah. "I cleaned off his cut with some water, but when I went to grab a band aid from my bag, I had none left. So, Noah comes over like 'I cOuLdN't HeLp BuT oVeRhEaR yOu NeEdEd A bAnD aId' and I was like 'Noah? Long time no see. Or write.'" Joe starts laughing like a hyena.

"You really burned him there Joss."

"That's not the best part. I basically said Beckett was my friend and he wasn't, and that I kind of hate him." Joe stops laughing.

"Are you really sure that wasn't too far?"

"You saw what he did to me."

"I know but I still feel like that's my fault."

"Joe, I've told you before. You were 24 it was time for you to go and get a job. I might have been in a dark place, but I was 12, and I could handle myself."

"But I left you with our parents fighting every night."

"Joe, listen to me. Nothing you say now can change the past. I don't hate you, and you shouldn't hate yourself. Those things have made me grow into the woman I am today. "

"Alright, fine. You win."

"Good. Do you want to watch a movie? I don't have practice tonight. Coach Murray is sick."

"Sure. I'll order a pizza. With pineapple because you're weird."

"Rude. You just don't understand how good pineapple is. And I feel as if you're judging me." I move to sit on the couch next to him. "Don't judge me."
