Joss's POV

As Noah and I walked through my apartment I noticed there was another note on the counter.

Joss, Maya asked if I wanted to hang out again and I had too. I don't know when I'll be home but you and Noah can eat whatever you find in the kitchen. And yes, I know Noah came home with you.

p.s. love you

Toodles, Joey

"Hang out my, ass." I mutter under my breath.

"What?" Noah asked from behind me. He sounds mad.

"Oh nothing." I'm still wondering how Joe knew I was going to bring Noah home.

"Okay." He speaks rudely again. Noah's acting odd.

"Here let's go to the living room." We both take our shoes off before wandering into the living room. "What do you want to watch?"

"I don't know." He sounds so stiff. What's wrong?

"Noah, that doesn't help." I add a giggle to try and soften the mood.

"Then just pick the tenth thing that comes up!" He says very agitated. I'm shocked. It's like I shriveled up.

"Noah." I say softly. He doesn't look at me. He stays staring at the TV. I just ignore it and open Netflix.

It's such a wonderful thing that the tenth thing to come up is Euphoria. I love Netflix so much. I scroll through season one and pick a random episode before hitting play. I glance over at Noah but his face is still blank.

"Noah." I say concerned.

"Not now Joss." He says so neturally I want to just go back to hating him. It's less rude this time, I guess? He's made me so happy these last weeks. What's wrong?

Noah's POV

I don't know why I keep snapping at Joss. It's not like she did anything wrong. It's just that stupid handyman and Chloe and Joe and Kayla and- UGH. Why does everyone think we're dating. We're not. We're just friends. Friends that like each other a tiny bit. A tiny little bit. I'm probably just imagining it. You know what? She probably doesn't even like me. So we're not dating. It's fine. We're fine. I'm fine. Yeah.

After 20 minutes of mindlessly watching Euphoria, her eyes burning through me half the time, she pauses it, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Noah." She looks over at me.

"Joss." I don't look at her.

"Noah." She says softer as she scooches close to me.

"Jocelyn." I say softer too.

"What's wrong?" I still don't look at her.

I don't answer. After a few seconds, she grabs my chin gently and pulls my face towards her. My stomach erupts. "Noah, what's wrong?" Her green eyes piercing mine. I don't respond. She moves closer. But then she stops. She freezes and I know she feels it too. Her hand drops. Though, before she can move, I grab my hand off the couch and place it on her cheek.

I pull her close till our noses are almost touching. "Hi." I whisper. I guess I'm having a change of heart.

"Hi." She reluctantly whispers, but she doesn't pull away.

I move my hand from her cheek and pull a loose strand of her hair behind her ear. I can't take it much longer and pull her closer, slowly closing the last bit of space and putting our lips together.

Her hands instantly fly up to my cheeks before I move mine to her hips and start to push her down on the couch. Our lips stay together though, very slow but passionately moving together.
