Bryson: Well, understanding the SCPs is what we do here. Please.
Jayson sat on his bed, Bryson moving a chair from the desk to sit a few feet in front of Jayson. Jaysons hands slowly balled into fists, gripping his bed.
Jayson: Do you know... how it feels to look human... at the risk of your very life. I wasn't born with human skin, even though I look it. No, this goes deeper than me. This goes all the way to my father being a dumb teen, and decided to become a lab rat to an experiment. It never affected him... but no one could ever think it would work on his offspring for as long as he lived.
Bryson: So, your fathers actions affected you.Jayson silently nodded.
Jayson: You know... in the town my parents lived in, everyone knew them. Although, some were more trusting than others, and when I was born, I wasn't human yet. I was an ugly beast.
Bryson: So, tell me Jayson, what exactly was the experiment your father participated in as a teen that affected you so much?Jayson thought for a moment and sighed.
Jayson: Human Hybrid DNA Tests. My father was part of a secret government project for human hybrids and my father worked for them. He volunteered immediately.
Bryson: What hybrid exactly?
Jayson: Human-Lizard Hybrid. Under the sense of negative emotion, I turn into a monstrous reptilian beast, but if I'm calm, I turn human. That's what my parents found out after a couple of weeks hiding me from the public, until I turned human for the first time. My parents brought their most trusted friends and family members, people who had been with them since childhood. My parents put me in a bad mood to show them what I really was. You wanna know how they reacted? They were sickened. Wondering how my parents could creat such an unsanitary nightmarish freak. Eventually, word spread around the town and soon no one trusted my parents anymore. Some thought that my parents were aliens, some thought my parents were doing the Devils work. But no matter what they thought, they all hated my parents. They especially hated me. Every single person in town was disgusted by my lizard-face and my human-face.
Bryson: Wow. You seem to have had quite the troubled past.
Jayson: Trust me, Doc, it gets worse. One night, it was so bright in the house while we were sleeping. There was so much... heat. It was so hot and bright, and my parents found a burnt hole in the wall that only I could fit through, through the back of the house and bushes. There weren't many bushes though, so I had to stay very still. As soon as I hid, I heard something crash in the house, something big, like the floor. I knew it was my father that fell. You wanna know how? Because right after the crash, my mother began to screech and my father was silent. I was definitely in my Lizard State, even though I was so small. Soon, the ceiling fell down a bit, and my mother was silent. I waited, and waited, and waited. Finally, the fire died down completely and it started storming. I looked over and could see four men, three of them with torches. The rest of the town gathered around the burnt down house, and I began to expect cries. Only... there weren't any cries, or sounds of sadness at all. They... cheered. They all cheered and praised the four men. You know, my Lizard State isn't the furthest I can go. When I saw them cheering, I went into a...
Bryson: What happened, Jayson? What did you go into?
Jayson: A Primal State.
Bryson: A... Primal... Sta-
Jayson: I want to be left alone right now.
Bryson: Wait, what? No, Jayson, I'm trying to learn more about you.
Jayson: I'd like you to leave, please!Guards began knocking on the cell door.
Guard: Alright Mister Head Scientist!
Guards opened the cell door and grabbed Bryson, walking him out of the cell, before shutting the door again. Jayson sat on his bed, holding his head. Bryson walked into his office and sat in a large chair, thinking. One scientist walked into the office, asking for any extra tasks he could do.
Scientist: I just think if we're gonna do a job at this place, we need to do them as quick and efficient as possible.
Suddenly, Bryson had an idea.
Bryson: I need you to organize an aggression experiment for the latest SCP to be registered in this facility.
The scientist nodded and ran out of the room. Bryson chuckled to himself. He was going to help Jayson fit in great in his new home, the SCP Foundation.
