Chapter III - Orchard

Date: 28 December 2004. Time: 12:25 P.M.

As EyePatch Club gathered for their 3rd meeting, Langa discussed a ghost / mysterious figure haunting the university, something which many of the members also discussed, including the vice president, Mei. They decided they would appoint two of the members for the mission. For the task, they appointed the new member Langa, who has shown outstanding abilities, and vice president Mei, who has helped many of the members with their missions. When hearing about being appointed, Langa was confused, so he asked about being appointed for the task, to which he received many responses from several members. "On a side note, you and Mei are the ones for the mission, so we appointed you and her.", was one response. A second response was, "You and Mei are best suited for this situation. It's up to you two." The responses Langa was getting sounded the same, so he was confused.

He didn't quite understand the role of being an appointee for a mission like this, which would make the confusion even worse for Langa. Now, soon figuring this to be his newfound role as part of EyePatch Club, it was up to Langa and Mei for this kind of job. To figure out this whole situation thoroughly, they looked at old documents from 19 years ago, in which this figure had previously gone missing from the university, only to be presumed that the figure was not from Earth, to begin with, and had been a shadow in people's eyes. They looked at the name of the student, the last name was Miyamura, a last name that seemed so familiar to Langa because that used to be his mother's last name before being married to Raiden. "It looks like the first name is erased. Do you have any idea who this person might be?" asked Langa. "'Miyamura' seems like a last name no one would be born with. Now, I wonder who would've been born with that last name." said Mei, curious. "Well, my mother was born Hideyoshi Miyamura, which I learned early on from her family," said Langa. "I know it's not your mother. Well, it's because your mother didn't attend this university. Her name is not in the name files." said Mei.

"How are we supposed to know the first name of this student who had the last name 'Miyamura?'" said Langa. "Maybe, I can help." said a student nearby them. They were also looking in the old documents for their sister's name. "Huh? I wonder who said that" asked Langa. "Greetings, and it's nice to meet you. Han Jintao's the name, and being a scholar is my game. So, what can I help you with?" asked Han Jintao. "Well, we need your help. The first name of this person, whose last name is 'Miyamura', has been erased. Do you know who this could be?" said Langa. "Hm. 'Miyamura', seems familiar. I, Rin, and Rindou will find this out for you." said Han. After mentioning those people, Rin Kajou and Rindou Taiga appeared out of the shadows, wondering where Han had been. "Oh, what's this? A couple meeting our scholar friend?" asked Rin, who was another scholar, like Han. Rindou was on the phone, calling the fourth person who was a part of the dorm that Han, Rin, Rindou, and Rie Misato were a part of, with Rie being the fourth member. Rie, Rin, and Rindou were also a part of a polyamorous relationship, which they wished that they get married to each other soon. 

"Time will only tell, as I can only predict as EyePatch Club will probably make such inferences as follows." wrote Natsu Yamaguchi in their diary. Being a potent person, Natsu has often seen what goes around and comes around. Taking notes are Natsu's favourite thing to do. They're in charge of the documents section, keeping everything in place and organised. "Eh? Natsuki? You're writing in your diary again?" asked Diamonde after she had noticed Natsu writing in their diary. "Wait, what? Oh, right, I forgot you gave me that nickname. Yes, I am writing, again." said Natsu. As Natsu looked up, they had noticed something else: It was starting to become much warmer. "This is starting to become much warmer. I must head inside." they said to themselves as they started to make their way to their dorm.

"Great, what am I doing here? This is already my fourth day of university. Everything seems polished, and rather old-fashioned." said another Korean abroad student, Min Jaeseong, who was from Pyeongchang, in Gangwon Province, in South Korea. Given the Japanese name, Kyouko Kamado, she was one of the top students in the SKY Universities of Korea that was sent to Japan to attend school in Japan, not by force, but by chance. Mixed with Japanese and Korean herself, she has a few ancestors herself that diversify her nature and make her curious if she is diving into her Japanese heritage. "I must ask around to see what is going on. Excuse me, sir. Do you know where the library is?" she asked Langa as soon as Langa and Mei exited out of the storage room. "The library is in the middle of this campus. There should be signs to find your way there." Langa replied to the now happy Kyouko. "THANK YOU, SIR! Also, I heard you're from Canada!!! I've been there three times! I might have come across you at some point there." she said reluctantly and happily. "Really? Did you happen to stop by Ottawa, Ontario?" he asked. "I DID! I happen to have some photos of us when I first met you. You had a mask on when I first stopped by. Now, you have an eye patch on with it. Your name is Langa, correct?" she said as she made inferences about Langa. "Correct, yes, and that is true." he said. "May I ask what is your name?" he also added. "It's Jaeseong, but call me Kyouko, as it's my Japanese name." she said. 

"Here, let me call my mother, to see if she can recognise you." said Langa. "Sure, she'll probably recognise me as I once knew your family, mainly your mother. She was very generous towards me." she said. Langa then proceeds to call his mother on the phone, which his mother answers the phone. "Mother, do you recognise this voice?" he asked his mother. "Hi, Hide. Hope you're doing well, and I hope Japan is going well for you." said Kyouko as she was heard by Hideyoshi on the other end of the phone call. "If it isn't Kyouko, one of Langa's old childhood friends. She would come to Canada once every five years up until Langa was 15. She introduced herself as Kyouko and nothing else besides that. Also, Japan is treating us well. We're doing fine for ourselves. Thank you for calling me, both of you." said Hideyoshi on the other end of the call. 

"You're welcome, mother. Please, have a great rest of your day, and take excellent care of yourself." said Langa. "Take care, Hide. Like Langa said, take care of yourself. Not only for Langa, but for me. Your family." Kyouko added. Hideyoshi chuckled, and smiled, on the other end of the line. "Don't worry. You two take care of yourselves. Please do what's best for you." she replied, and she ended the call. "I have another childhood friend I have to meet. I'll catch up with you later, Kyouko." said Langa. "Alright, take care of yourself." she said as Kyouko gave a hug to Langa. They then departed ways.

Kazuha Ryuu is originally from the same neighbourhood as Langa, but moved to Shibuya at 7 years old. Being born with black hair has made him more or less of a local of Japan, because of his knowledge of Japanese. With being a university student and having made use of privileges of an adult, Kazuha had dyed the tips of his hair purple and red. Although kind of outgoing, he does make time for having friends. One of his childhood friends was the biggest introvert in his old neighbourhood, Langa Ichimura. As being friends with the biggest introvert, he decided to take some time to text him, and see what was going on. After not getting a response due to Langa's ongoing mission, he was getting quite concerned, so he enlisted the help of one of his other childhood friends, Miya Shinobu. Like Langa, Shinobu was more along the lines of having anxiety from having friends. She didn't like having friends. Her usual attire is mostly a black shirt with some sort of design, a black leather jacket with a hoodie, jogging pants, and black shoes. Her hair is short and parted, and would easily get mistaken for a boy, although with her hair, it's due to how she has it styled every day. Not only that, but her older sister, Eevee "Eula" Shinobu, has given her advice. So, Langa receives a text from Eula, saying, "Welcome home, brother. We will meet you at your mother's house. I have no obligations to say it'll be at 4 PM."

Date: 28 December 2004. Time: 3:15 P.M.

After a long day's work, it has seemed they might have found some clues which has led to some form of name revealing. After noticing a text from his half sister Eula, Langa said to Mei, "We should report our findings to EyePatch Club, and we'll wrap things up for the day. Sounds good?" "What about you? Where are you heading off to after this?" asked Mei. "I have to meet some acquaintances."

Han Jintao - A transfer student from a university in China who is a scholar at the university. Wears silver rings with alternative designs. Black hair, Red eyes.
Rin Kajou - Part of a polyamorous relationship, is a friend of Jintao. Black hair with blue tips, Purple and Blue eyed.
Rindou Taiga – Another member of a polyamorous relationship, another friend of Jintao. Light Blue hair, Navy Blue eyed.
Rie Misato - The last member of the polyamorous relationship, the third and final friend of Jintao. Dark purple hair, dark purple eyed.
Natsu Yamaguchi – Nicknamed "Natsuki" by Diamonde Valverde, likes taking notes and writing in their diary. Orange haired, orange eyed.
Min Jaeseong / Kyouko Kamado - One of Langa Ichimura's childhood friends. An exchange student from one of the SKY Universities in South Korea. Born in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province. White haired, grey eyed.
Kazuha Ryuu – Another childhood friend of Langa's, was from the same neighbourhood as his childhood friend. Eventually moved to Japan after being in Canada for 7 years. Black hair (later with red and purple tips), green eyed.
Miya Shinobu - Often referred to as "Shinobu" by most people because the people who meet her do not know her first name. The one who is most like Langa in terms of characteristics. Black hair with purple tips, purple eyed.
Eevee "Eula" Shinobu - Known just as "Eula" by her peers and the rest of Japan, her and Miya are the half siblings to the Ichimura family. Silver hair, grey eyed.
