"Mother." Daenaera said voice cracking and tears slipping from her eyes as Rhaenyra entered the chambers in which her daughter was waiting for the whole family to arrive. The same main chamber of their old family, a family where Laenor would laugh, where Ser Harwin would stand guard of them. The same old chamber that held her childhood memories.

"My sweet, sweet girl." Rhaenyra said as she rushed to her daughter, engulfing her in a hug. "I missed you so." Daenaera said holding onto her mother even tighter "As did I you." Rhaenyra said as tears came to her own eyes. She pushed a bit away and took her daughters face in her hands "My little girl." She said and kissed Daenaeras forehead then put her own forehead on hers. "I feel so sorry that it took so long. But now we are united. We will not separate. No more." She whispered to her girl and hugged her again.

"No more." Daenaera whispered to her mother and a small sad smiled found her lips. Today was the day where everything she knew before would come to an end. A new era would begin starting with the questioning of her brothers claim to Driftmark.

"I should say hello to my dear brothers as well." she laughed a dry laugh and let her mother go. "Indeed you should." Jace said as he came behind Rhaenyra together with Lucerys. The three of them hugged and Daenaera placed kisses on the cheeks of both her little brothers. "Little ones." She said and laughed at the faces they made "I have missed you brothers." She said looking at them. "As did we, sister." Jace said and turned his gaze to the door where the two maids stood together holding little Viserys and Aegon. "Oh my heart." Daenaera said as she made her way to the boys. She kissed both of them and watched them squirm in the arms of their nannies "Fussy, aren't they?" she asked as the both women nodded in agreement "They grow so fast." Daenaera said as she took little Viserys in her arms.

"Indeed." Her mother said as she took her old seat a table.

"Where is father?" Daenaera asked in valyrian as she walked to her mother. "I believe he said he was going to the gardens. Maybe you could meet him there." Rhaenyra said and winked at Daenaera.

A wide smile spread across her face as she remembered how she and Daemon would meet in the gardens when she was little. When she had not yet known he was her father but had already loved him dearly. It was their meeting place and it warmed her heart that he still remembered it.

The princess rushed to the gardens in the same manner as she did when she was little and surely enough she saw her father leaning on the willow tree. "Prince Daemon." Her father averted his gaze to her, a smirk already gracing his lips "Princess Daenaera." He said as he straightened himself up.

Without wait Daenaera made her way to him and hugged him. Hiding her head in his chest, she finally felt safe again. Daemon hugged his daughter back as he stroked her hair "Now, little dragon, why the tears." Valyrian rolled of his tongue as he felt his daughter tremble in his arms. It had finally broken Daenaera entirely to see her father, her safe place, to meet the person who would rain down fire on the whole Kingdom to protect his dear ones.

"I missed you so." she raised her eyes to Daemon "I missed you so much, father." she said in Valyrian. Daemon brushed away the stray tears from her eyes. He loved his daughter, no matter how violent he could be, no matter what people talked about the rogue prince, no matter his lust for blood and war – his love for Rhaenyra and their children was beyond this world. He had killed Darrion Lannister without remorse when he learned that the lion intended to touch his daughter, he would kill any other who dared to as much look at her the wrong way.

"Let us walk." He said and Daenaera nodded as she linked her arm with Daemons. "It reminds me of the times I was little. When you would come and visit." Daenaera hummed as they continued to speak in Valyrian. Daemon chuckled at the memories "It would bring me so much joy to know about your visits." Daenaera continued to speak as her eyes kept a soft gaze upon the path they were taking. "I remember how you promised that I will have a dragon one day and I remember how you gifted me the necklace made of Valyrian steel." Daemon only nodded to her words a small smile never leaving his lips. He had gotten the necklace crafted for Daenaera in a similar style he had it made for Rhaenyra. The little girl would tell him how she kept trying to steal her mothers jewelry because it was so beautiful. And Daemon being the man that he is could not ignore the wish of his first born. He could not be there for her as much as he wanted to but he was there for her as much as he could at the given circumstances. It had more than once gotten him in trouble with Viserys, as his brother had forbidden him to visit the palace. Still Daemon would not listen to the orders of his brother. And to be truthful Viserys did not try his best to keep his younger brother away. The King was no fool, he knew who was the father of his daughters first born, he knew very well.
