The round started immediately and I looked around at some of the other participants. A lot of them were grateful to still be alive, thanking those who helped them. Chishiya took my hand and walked me back through to the central room. A lot of the others had joined together in there as well, standing in that same circle. The ring leader, the girl in the blue stood as always, looking between them. She kind of reminded me of Mira, she seemed the type to be as psychotic. Maybe it was their smiles that did that. There was another round of bowing and thanking to eachother, Chishiya leant on the wall and soon Ippei moved to stand by us again.

"That was an easy first round, hey? We should do that again."

"Your optimism...stuns me."

I turned to him while saying this, though smiled not wanting to put him off. He had a slightly confused look and I simply shifted to motion to the other groups in the room.

"Someone is going to start killing...just watch...trust can't last forever, at least not in a hearts game."

I heard a chuckle beside me, and a hand was placed on my back. I didn't look over to Chishiya however, my eyes travelled around the room towards the others. I was trying to take in the majority of the figures in the room but I couldn't help but to spot that good old couple. The bald man intimidating the smaller one. I wasn't sure what his purpose was...or what he was trying to do, but I had a feeling it wouldn't forever go his way. I was cut off by my thoughts by Chishiya moving slightly, he was listening to another conversation. The two I had watched...the emo looking boy and the other. Chishiya smirked slightly. I hadn't heard the whole conversation but heard Chishiya's answer.

"Exactly..."

"Huh?"

He looked over at me, tilting his head a little. He must have thought I was listening in with him. I had my focus elsewhere unfortunately. Ippei however decided to chime in with his optimism once again.

"As long as we keep being honest with each other, we'll be alright."

"Or not."

"It's okay Ippei...you can at least trust me."

I smiled at him and heard Chishiya scoff a little. I was going to say something else but instantly the shouts from the corner grew louder, making the whole room watch the bald man's little games he was playing. The poor man's victim was pushed into the room and the shouting continued. I still was confused what his motive was? Pick on someone weak...make them tell you the answer...keep them alive for your benefit...something like that. But that was surely a weak game. Nonetheless, everyone else seemed interested...and then it clicked. This torment would not go on forever, one of these two are going to break.

"Ah..."

"It's clicked for you then love?"

I nodded, looking up at Chishiya, he wasn't smiling but there was a distinct look in his eyes which allowed for the idea of...humour to be built there. He clearly had clicked onto this whole concept before me. These two would be the first to cause outright downfall among everyone else...perhaps. As soon as I saw one of the other men in the room walk over and whisper to him...I knew it had started. The game was finally being kicked off. That last round was the equivalent to the calm before the storm. The warm up round. Now Chishiya's face remained the same but if you looked close enough, like I usually did there was a certain twitch you could see, he was trying not to smile maybe. I looked back to see the beating that poor man was now receiving, he was at his breaking point and then...

"Club!"

There it was. The first lie of the game. Caused by physical aggression. Right there would be the snap in the trust, the turning point in the whole game. I stepped back and went to lean against the wall, looking up at the ceiling for a second. I only looked down upon hearing Chishiya shush Ippei. From where I was standing I could see the man actually had a diamond...Ippei's heart was in the right place, but not for this game, as Chishiya would somewhat explain.
