Waking up after the last game was painful. I felt like all of my bones within my body were trying to rip themselves from my skin. There were so many aches running through my body and both my shoulder and my knee felt like they had been shredded. I felt like I could not move. I slowly opened my eyes but the light hit me as hard as the pain from the rest of my body.  It took me a while to be able to adjust to the light, I looked around the room and me shifting must have also alerted the other person in the room.

"Y/N?"

A familiar voice within the room called out. My eyes shot over to the voice, Chishiya was sat there but he soon moved over next to me. He seemed to be worried about me but a cool smile took over his face as he looked down at me, brushing some hair from my face. The more I looked around the more I realised that I was back in my room at The Beach. I had been brought home safely after the last game. Niragi had actually brought me back safe.

I stared at Chishiya, trying to push myself up in the bed but he shook his head, placing a hand on my shoulder gently signalling for me to stay still. He moved a chair over to sit down properly next to me and began staring at me deeply. He was smiling more gently than usual and I could not help but stare back with a smile as well.

"You have been out for a while...a day in fact. Niragi brought you back and you were out cold...we weren't sure whether it was blood loss or exhaustion...or both. I was, well I was worried in all honesty. I was worried while you were at the game and when he brought you back. He told us though that you saved him. That was rather brave of you."

I listened to him talking, trying not to smile, originally when Kuina had told me that Chishiya liked me I thought it was stupid and she was wrong but more within this conversation I was convinced that she was right. I smiled unsure whether or not to talk but I struggled with what to say in all honesty.

"Although...after you get out of this bed I can guarantee that Niragi will be after you...he has this weird thing of people owing him back after he saves them...I don't like the idea of him being near you, I know what he is like..."

I never expected this level of protection coming from Chishiya and he seemed to be saying it with such casualness. I smiled even more and he stared at me with a raised eyebrow, a small laugh left him but my eyes remained on him. I felt like the whole time I knew him I had been hoping he felt this way and now it was confirming itself.

"Uh Chishiya...that game was oddly hard for me, but I have to admit that you kept me going, you were the only-"

I was cut off by the feeling of lips on mine. I was so incredibly shocked by this. I closed my eyes, allowing this to happen, this felt nice. All I could do was compare it to the weird kiss on the hand Niragi gave me. This was so much more comforting. He finally pulled back and I looked at him, our eyes met and he was smiling, I could feel my cheeks warming up.

"I know it is a bit out of the blue but...I want you by my side and I want o make sure you are safe. I will make sure I look after you. Our plan will be fine and successful and I will get you out of here."

Chishiya almost did not sound like himself but he looked dead serious. I opened my mouth to speak but I was unsure what to say. It was a moment before I finally figured what to say.

"So...are you asking me out right now Chishiya...?"

"Yes. I am. I am asking you to be mine...Y/N..."

I nodded slowly and he bent down, placing another soft kiss on my lips

I nodded slowly and he bent down, placing another soft kiss on my lips. Just as he did this the door opened. I heard a familiar chuckle.  Chishiya turned and stared at the figure standing in the door, and I simply looked over, this time sitting up, ignoring Chishiya's previous moment of telling me not to. There at the door was Niragi. Both of us were looking at him as he moved into the room, closing the door behind him.

"What do you want?"

Chishiya seemed to be annoyed about him coming into the room, I couldn't see but I knew his eyes would be following him around the room. He was cautious, I've always known him to be like that but this raised especially around any members of the militant corps, but Niragi was the worst. Ever since becoming an executive, Niragi has put fear into me and I was always uncertain of his actions. Even in this moment as he paced with his gun I wondered what his motives were.

"I came to see our sleeping beauty of course...wanted to check how she was but it seems you have that covered huh? I was right though...little lovebirds. I hope this connection causes no issues to arise within games in the future...So, how are you?"

I stared at him again, not wanting to answer, his smug look pissed me off. The way he held himself and acted like he owned the place just because he was a deranged killer and a second command in the militant corps. I bit my lip before finally clearing my throat, a sudden dryness appearing within my mouth.

"I am fine. Just a bit achy...Thank you by the way for getting me back safe, I feel I at least owe you that."

He started laughing at this, he was now standing at the foot of the bed, staring at me, Chishiya had his hands in his pockets, looking between us with a raised eyebrow. He seemed to be fiddling with something in his pocket. He was as calm as usual however there was a slight edge that was not mistakable.

"You are most welcome...though to me that is not a suitable thanks but...I guess that is something I will have to deal with-"

"I don't like what you are suggesting there Niragi."

I looked next to me as Chishiya had spoken up, he had taken his hands out of his pocket now, they were instead firmly crossed

I looked next to me as Chishiya had spoken up, he had taken his hands out of his pocket now, they were instead firmly crossed. I could see from the corner of his face that he was smirking but it seemed to be a more of a confidence thing. He stepped forwards and Niragi just kept that irritating smirk on his face as he started walking again, making his way back towards the door.

"I don't think that I was suggesting much really...I will see you at that meeting tonight Chishiya...and I will see you around Y/N."

With that he disappeared from the room. I was never certain what to expect from him but he just annoyed me. I sighed and fully melted into the pillows beneath me, closing my eyes and thinking on his words. Now I had to be extra worried about walking alone in case that psychopath tried anything with me. Chishiya sat down again and placed one of his hands on mine, I opened my eyes to look down at our hands, smiling now instead.

"Don't worry, nothing will happen to you. I will personally make sure of that for you. You need to get some more rest. I will be back later with some food for you, for now I have left a few books here on the side...I can help you wash properly later as well...if you want me to?"

I smiled to him and nodded. He spent a moment looking at me before shifting to give me one last kiss before finally leaving the room. I watched him leave and once again I was on my own. I picked up one of the books from the side, beginning to read. Though sudden excitement hit me, the idea that Chishiya actually liked me and wanted me to be mine was exciting to me.
