Roaring Sports Festival

Aya's P.O.V

"This sports festival... It's something that the pros--no, that entire country will be watching very closely. Think of the sports festival as your debut. You are the fledgling Symbol of Peace, the next All Might! Izuku Midoriya. You must introduce yourself to the world, and proudly say 'I am here!'" Toshinori informs the next wielder for One For All.

Izuku gasped feeling the pressure. "But, All Might, that's your catchphrase! Besides, what can I do?" He pointed out.

"You know how the sports festival is set up, right?" Toshinori asked walking back over to us.

"Oh, yeah. Of course! Students are separated by class year, and then the support, business, general studies, and hero courses all fight against each other in a bunch of preliminary trials. Whoever makes it through the initial games faces off in the finals. It's basically a big round-robin tournament." Izuku explained.

"Right! This means you'll have plenty of opportunities to sell yourself. Don't forget this is a big chance for you too, Young Aya!" He points a finger and me and Izuku.

I sulk. "Yeah, I think I might not participate," I announced causing the two males to be in utter shock.

"Why not?" Izuku was the first to ask.

"Because, as you said, we all have to fight against each other. What happens during one of my fights I accordingly show up a new Quirk that I didn't register. People will start to question then they'll really think that I'm a villain." I quickly explain my reasoning for not wanting to join the sports festival.

Toshinori sighs understanding. "You just gotta not think about it like that, Aya. This will be the best opportunity to show the world that you are not a villain just because your father is. If you want to be recognized as a hero... prove it to the world. And if your Quirks do slip out it'll just show how strong you are. You got nothing to worry about." He said trying to reassure me. Yeah, easy for him to say.

Izuku nods. "He's right. If it makes you feel better, I'll be with you every step of the way."

I secretly bit my lip while crossing my arms. I groan quietly. It is kinda nice to know that he's got my back, but still...

"Some heroes always aim for the top, while others happily settle. The difference between those two mindsets has a big impact on how far you go in the real world. I understand how you two feel. And I may even be projecting a bit of myself onto you. However, I hope you haven't forgotten the emotions you felt back at the beach during our training. " Toshinori reminded Izuku.

After our talk with Toshinori, Izuku and I walked back to the class to gather our belongings. Everyone from Class 1-A was stunned when every student on our floor stood in front of our classroom staring strangely at us.

"U-um, why the heck are you all here?" Occhaco shouted at them.

"Do you students have some sort of business with our class?" Iida asked them.

"Why are you blocking our doorway? I won't let you hold us, hostage!" Mineta yelled.

"They're scouting out the competition, idiots. We're the class that survived a real villain attack." Katsuki says bluntly as he stood in front of the doorway.

I looked over at Izuku worriedly knowing this won't be good. "Let's just hope he doesn't explode anybody. " He tells me I only nod.

I tried to hide my face under my collar seeing all the eyes were looking at me and whispering about me.
