Deku vs. Kacchan

Aya's P.O.V

The indoor combat training had just begun. The first team that was going up against each other was none other than Izuku vs. Katsuki.

Things were just getting good when Izuku had gotten the upper hand on Katsuki.

From what I remember, Izuku told me that Katsuki and he grew up in the same neighborhood so they knew each other since they were kids. And that all the other neighborhood kids followed him around. It seemed like he could do anything. And no matter what he decided to do, he was always so confident. Izuku really looked up to him.

But Izuku said Katsuki started to change when his Quirk manifested.

----Flashback------

"Hey, Izuku," I called out to the green-haired boy who was panting after a long hard day of training.

"What is it?" He asked after taking a breath.

"So, what's the deal with you at Katsuki Bakugo?" I questioned not knowing why. Ever since the day he helped me, I couldn't but wonder more about him.

Izuku blinked his eyes for a moment. "You mean Kacchan? Why are you asking about him?" He asked more curious than I was.

I gulped nervously. "O-Oh-- no reason. H-He just seemed like an interesting guy. You know after that whole villain-captured thing." I quickly made up a lie.

Izuku glances at the ground thinking about what to say. "Well, he is a pretty cool guy. We know each other since we were kids. He wasn't always um..." He troubled to find the right word to describe him.

"A complete jackass?" I deadpanned as I answered for her.

"Uh... you can say that." He says with a nervous laugh. "He started acting differently once he got his awesome Quirk."

I narrowed my eyes at Izuku.

"You're shaking in your boots, you're so scared. But you wanna fight me anyway." Katsuki growled as he made small sparks from the palm of his hand. "That's why I hate you!" He yelled.

I bit my lip to contain my nervousness.

"Hey, who's Bakugo talking to? I'm not hearing anything. Can we get any sound with this video?" Kirishima asked seeing we weren't able to hear the audio from the cameras.

"He's got a radio in his ear so he can talk to his partner. I gave it to him before the match started. " Toshinori explained showing us the small earbud in his ear. "Along with a map of the building. Also, this. A roll of capture tape!" He helped a roll of white tape. "Wrapping this around your opponent means you've apprehended them, and they're out for the rest of the game."

"So, there's a 15-minute time limit, and the good guys have no idea what floor the nuclear weapon is hidden on, right?" Ashido questioned.

"Correct!" Toshinori answered.

"Then the heroes are clearly at a disadvantage here. A big one." She pointed out worriedly. Not really.

"Real Pros have to outwit villains on a daily basis. That's life. Even when the odds aren't in our favor, we fight!" Toshinori told her the meaning behind this test.

He raised his arm in the air. "All together!" He yelled.

"Let's hear a Plus Ultra!" Everyone but me shouted in unison.
