As Carlos continued running after the car he saw Adelina running after him.

"Carlos! Wait up," shouted Adelina as she continued running.

"Mama, go back! I need to do this by myself," shouted Carlos. He ran into the crowd of cars. "Rachel!" Carlos shouted as he ran to the car. He looked into the window and saw a woman on her phone. "Darn it! That's not a man," said Carlos. He saw the real car driving away. "No! Not again," shouted Carlos and he fell to the ground. He remembered memorizes of Rachel as a baby. He remembered holding her at the hospital. He couldn't lose Rachel. Not today.

Meanwhile, Rachel woke up to darkness. At first she thought she had died, but as she heard a car running she knew she was alive. As she tried to get up her head hit a surface. Now she knew that she was in a trunk. She tried to scream, but she was too scared. She saw a crack at the edge of the trunk. As she looked through the crack she saw Carlos running after the car.

"Carlos!" screamed Rachel. "Help me," Carlos heard her and smiled.

"I'm coming Rachel," shouted Carlos. "Don't worry." He finally reached the car and jumped on top of the trunk.

"Hurry, Carlos!" said Rachel. Carlos tried to open the trunk, but it was locked. He remembered when people used hairpins in movies to open locks. Maybe it could help open the trunk.

"I need a hairpin," said Carlos. Rachel took off her hairpin and put it through the crack.

"Here, Carlos," said Rachel.

"Thanks," said Carlos. He put the pin in the lock. After a few minutes, Carlos heard a click. "Bingo," said Carlos smiling. He jumped onto the ground and ran up to the trunk. Then he opened the trunk. "Rachel jump! I'll catch you," shouted Carlos.

"Okay," said Rachel and she jumped out of the car. Carlos caught her just in time and closed the trunk. The man heard something close and saw the children through the mirror. He stopped the car and backed up towards the kids. Carlos ran away as fast as he could and made it to an alley. He ran into the alley and headed back to the house.

When they made it back home, Rachel started crying and explained what happened to Carlos. Carlos comforted Rachel and listened to her as she explained. Carlos was happy because Rachel was safe, but he knew there would be greater dangers in the future.

"Thanks, Carlos," said Rachel smiling while hugging him.

"You're welcome," replied Carlos. "I don't want to lose you again." They walked to the pool where Adelina, Isabella, and Coco were. Adelina saw them and smiled. Thank goodness," said Adelina.

"Thank the gods," shouted Isabella.

"What happened, gogg," asked Coco.

"Rachel was almost kidnapped by a man," replied Carlos. Coco rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.

"We know that! How did you save her?" shouted Coco.

"A hairpin," replied Carlos.

"A what?" asked Coco

"Nevermind," said Carlos.

"Let's celebrate." shouted Rachel and she jumped into the pool. Isabella caught her and smiled.

"You remind me of Serafina as a little merl," said Isabella.

"Do you think she knows you are alive?" asked Rachel.

"I hope so," said Isabella frowning. "I hope so..."
