Talion's POV
"You three will be spotters from afar." Jake instructed, before looking closer at Lo'ak, "You hear me? From afar." He reiterated.
"Yes, sir." Lo'ak nodded, knowing that if he gave any sort of attitude, he would be out of this mission. It has been two years since the RDA has returned, and they have grown ever increasingly bold and aggressive. It seems this time; they won't bother with the diplomatic approach; their only goal is to put an end to us.
After months of asking, Jake finally agreed to let Neteyam, Lo'ak, and me go on a mission, though is making it exceedingly clear that we are not to be involved in combat, only to tell him of any bogies from afar.
"And you two-" Jake looked to Neteyam and me, "-your jobs are to keep knucklehead here out of trouble."
"Yes, sir." Neteyam and I said in sync. I'd say we have matured a fair bit since the RDA came, and we are 18 now. That's the only reason Jake said yes, since both of us are now 18, and on Earth, that's when teenagers are considered adults.
"It should be a relatively simple mission, so stay behind the rest, and if you spot any on our flanks, report it immediately." Jake ordered, "Now, go get your gear together."
"Yes, sir." All three of us said in sync before backing up and leaving.
I had no reason to bring anything, so I went to the area where all the ikran would fly today would be. I willed myself to turn into my ikran form, my form growing larger. While my Na'vi form grew, so did my ikran form; the parts of my skin that got burned some time ago turned to scar tissue. The patterns in my ikran and Na'vi form no longer glow at night, interrupting my naturally occurring patterns and warping them in spots.
The other ikran gave me odd looks, generally staying a bit away, though I didn't mind. I waited for Neteyam and the others to show up, which wasn't long. They all showed up, and Jake briefed them, though it didn't apply much to me; all I have to do is fly and have a lookout.
Eventually, they all finished, getting on their ikran, including Neteyam. He connected our queues, me shuddering when he did so; I still haven't gotten used to that.
"Fly!"

"Lo'ak! Get back here!" Neteyam shouted, Lo'ak adamantly ignoring him, heading down to the now crashed train. I roared in protest, though he ignored me too, me looking back at Neteyam, him looking down at me. "Go down after him." He spoke to me through the bond.
I sighed but did so, diving after the headstrong idiot. He landed his ikran, got off, and went to one of the warriors who was handing out guns.
"You do not even know how to use that." Neteyam tried to protest, getting off of me, disconnecting our queues, and going to Lo'ak. Only, he was proven wrong near immediately when Lo'ak loaded and cocked the gun. I quickly then shifted back into my Na'vi form.
