Meeting the Bat-kids
Summary: Batman joins the JL like normal but stays elusive keeping the rest of the Bat-Clan hidden.
Justice League salt

Batman hid his family for a good 14 years keeping his stoic image. But Dick had finally grown up and switched cities easily gaining the Justice League's attention. Of course, he would his skills were on par with his own. Now that Nightwing was able to join the rest of the Bat-Kids would want in on the fun too. Although it won't be fun for the Stoic image that he had crafted with ease.

...

The first month Nightwing joined no one noticed how the two had full conversations by barely noticeable facial expressions like a slight twitch to the eyebrow or lips. Martian Manhunter or J'onn noticed first unintentionally reading the conversation. He said nothing thinking it was maybe a trick. After all the ever-smiling Nightwing wouldn't know the brooding Bat better than the rest of the JL that would be preposterous.

The Martian caught onto it a few more times letting him know it was very real.

...

Green Arrow called in for help in Star City. Someone was taking out a lot of the better-known crime bosses and a gang war was going to ensue if whoever started this wasn't caught. Green Arrow asked Batman and Nightwing to help. Knowing Gotham and its sister city Blüdhaven have a lot of crime like this and together tracking them down won't be hard.

They arrived by Bat-mobile. Green Arrow or Ollie didn't truly take notice that they rode to Star City together. Starting at sunset it took them till an hour before sunrise to track the crime lord down. A new record for any criminal.

It wasn't any criminal though, if the Red Helmet was anything to go by. Ollie swallowed hard remembering all the things he has heard about the Red Hood and repressing a shudder that tried to wrack his whole body.

Batman and Nightwing never went into fighting positions. This greatly confused the slightly terrified Green Arrow. The Red Hood moved his hands up and easily slid his helmet off. To reveal the face of a teen possibly a man wearing a mask with white lenses similar to Batman and Nightwing's. Green Arrow was ready to faint the Red Hood was just a teenager.
"Sup old man," He said, smirking at Batman. Nightwing snorted and responded knowing Batman wouldn't.
"Sup indeed Little Wing," Batman let out a long sigh.
"Hood, what happened you were doing so good?" Batman asked softly. A tone Green Arrow didn't think that the man was capable of.

"It was the Pit Madness I was doing good but I felt it and locked myself away and I thought I was better but the news came on of some punk here in Star City and I couldn't help it and then I just kinda went on a streak and took em all out." Hood states keeping his air of indifference even with what he was saying.

Batman put a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
"It's okay Hood we will sort this one out. You made it a full six months and I'm proud of you, but next time ask for some help before going on a spree, please?" Batman asks softly like he is talking to a lost child, not some vicious crime lord.

Hood nods his head and spoke softly back "I just didn't want to hurt you guys again." His tone was almost broken.

"You'll do even better this time Little Wing, you still have us just get that through that thick skull of yours okay?" Nightwing says pulling Hood into a hug.
"Okay," Hood mumbles back.
