I reached for my phone, hoping, praying, that it was past 7AM.

3AM. I read off my phone, Great.

I've been tossing and turning for over and hour and still haven't slept at all. I need something to take my mind off this. Ajax. I need to see my boyfriend, Ajax.

I quietly got up from my bed, trying my best not to wake Enid, my roommate. I grabbed my phone and walked out the door. I walked through the halls, hiding from the teachers guarding the hallways.

I walked through the boys dorms as I finally got to Ajax and Xavier's room. I grabbed the key from the back of my phone case to open the door. I walk into the room, locking it as I shut it.

Thank god Xavier was in the hospital with Wednesday, so now I wouldn't be bothering him.

"Ajax?" I spoke softly trying not to scare him. "Ajax?" You spoke again, shaking him slightly.
"Ajax wake up" you said once more. "Xavier shut up" he grumbled, "Ajax, it's me y/n"
"Y/n? What are you doing in here? What's wrong?" He asked sitting up quickly.
"I couldn't sleep, came to talk to you" you whispered embarrassed that you needed him.

"Come here" he said opening his arms. You sat down in Ajax's bed, leaning into his arms. "Now what did you wanna talk about?" He asked rubbing my thigh. "Um well.. I have wanted to ask you something for a while.." I said, thinking of what to talk about. "Mhm" he hummed showing he was listening and for me to continue.

"What's it like" I blurt out, "what's what like?" He questioned looking down at me. "Your hair, being stoned, being able to stone people, just... being a gorgon in general" I continued my thought.

"Well, I mean for me it's normal" he started, "you get used to having snakes for hair, the hissing, moving, you even have to feed them, but honestly feeding them is fun for me, it's the one time they are happy." He said with a small smile.

"What about being stoned?"   "Um, it's not very fun, if that's your question. When you get stoned, it's weird, your stuck, for hours, it can also get embarrassing depending on where you get stoned." He answered "how embarrassing?" I asked curiously, "remember that date I missed, and you were mad for days?"  "Yeah?"  "I stoned myself.. in the shower" he admitted sheepishly, "don't you dare say anything" he said before I could make a comment on his confession.

"Now what else would you like to know?"  "What's it like knowing you can stone someone whenever you feel like it" I asked, "honestly, horrible, that's why gorgons don't talk to many other people, we're scared of stoning people" he admitted.

I'm pretty sure my favorite part of hanging out with Ajax at night, is the fact he is completely honest with me. He always makes me feel like he's up for himself, not me. Like he doesn't care he is probably only gonna get 2 hours of sleep tonight. Even though he does care cause man likes his beauty sleep.

"You still awake?" he asked at my sudden silence, pulling me out of thought. "Yeah- yeah I'm awake" I replied.

"What's your pretty little mind thinking of?" He asked curiosity hinting in his voice, "Being a gorgon.. it's just.. so different from the wolfs, and sirens" I whispered in thought, "yeah, it is" he said matching my tone.

"Do you ever wish you weren't a gorgon?" I continued my questions, "do you wish you could do something different?" He questioned. "Well no, I think about it but I would never want a different power" I answered deep in thought. "Well it's the same for me, I would never wish to not have my snakes but I do think about it sometimes" he answered me.

I yawned as I turned to lay agents Ajax's chest. "You finally gonna go to sleep" he chuckled, "I hope so" I smiled closing my eyes.

Ajax wrapped his arms around my waist holding onto me tightly. "I love you" I heard Ajax whisper as I drifted off into my well needed sleep.
