Nga yawne lu oer - I love you

I had fallen asleep on the rock. The sun rising, blinding my eyes. I decided to take a swim, something I was not able to do yesterday due to the eventfulness. I remembered stargazing with Neteyam, my cheeks warm at the thought of him.

"Y/n!" I heard a voice call out. I turned to see Tsireya waving.

"Tsireya!" I waved back. She joined me in the water.

"We must meet with the Sullys for teaching soon," She said. "I see you have your eyes on the eldest, Neteyam, was it?" She giggled. Catching me off guard and embarrassed.

"Do not think I have not seen the way you look at Lo'ak." I said, watching her face turn red. I began laughing.

"It is not funny!" She shouted as I dove into the water. She followed behind, flustered.

As we went up to the surface for air, she began splashing me as payback. We both laughed as I splashed her back. After a while of enjoying the water, it was time to meet with the Sullys.

We made our way to their hut greeting them. Neteyam and I made eye contact, My heart skipped a beat.

"We will take the youth to teach. My father will meet with you soon Jake." Tsireya spoke.

"Sounds good. Goodluck kids." Jake said patting them on the back as they exited the hut.

Tuk immediately took my hand, I was happy to see her. Neteyam walked next to me, last night's memory flooding my head, I could not get myself to look at Neteyam without this feeling washing over me.

"How did you sleep?" Neteyam asked.

"I fell asleep watching the stars." I replied. He laughed.

"We have to do that again, yeah?" He said.

"Yes." I smiled at him.

Soon we made it by the shore, but before we can let them in the water we have to teach them how to control their breath. Ao'nung and Rotxo joined us, I could tell Ao'nung was opposed to it, probably forced by his father.

"Why do I have to help teach those jungle freaks." He stood next to me.

"Ao'nung." I say sternly, elbowing him in the stomach, setting him a step back.

"Woah, someones fiesty." He jokes. I roll my eyes.

Ao'nung and I paired to help Tuk and Neteyam, while Tsireya was to help Kiri and Lo'ak. Of course Rotxo joined Ao'nung. I instructed them to sit, Neteyam and Ao'nung on either side of me, Tuk in front, Rotxo sat on a rock nearby just observing. Preparing for a 'comedy show'.

"Relax. Close your eyes," I directed, Neteyam and Tuk doing just that. "Take a deep breath and clear your mind." The two doing so. "Now hold and focus on your pulse, try to slow the beating." I spoke as I reached to touch Tuk's chest, feeling her small heart slow.

"Good, Tuk." I said.

I then reached my hand to Neteyam, hesitating a little, I rest my hand on his chest, his heart beating fast. He seemed nervous.

"Your heartbeat is fast." I spoke.

His heartbeat even faster now, I removed my hand.

"Feel," I said as I scoot in closer toward him, taking his hands in mine, placing one on my stomach and one on my chest. Ao'nung alert now. I close my eyes, "Feel how I breathe from down here," tapping my stomach, I took a deep breath in. "Feel my heart as I focus," I said, gradually slowing my pulse. I opened my eyes to meet Neteyam's. "Do you understand?" I asked, he nodded in response. I took his hands off my body. "Okay, now try again," I said. Placing one hand on his stomach and the other on his chest. "Breathe," He did. "Now focus," His pulse is rapid now, waiting a moment to see if he can slow it, I let go as he failed to. "Neteyam, you are not understanding." I spoke.
