I slept on the sofa habang binabantayan si Veronica. I can't help but smile when I remember her pouting face last night
Nag-aayos ako ng mga papeles when the room door opened showing herself while rubbing her eyes
"Good morning. How's your fever?"
"Okay na..." pikit na sambit niya but I stood up and checked on her
"Rest a bit more"
"Ayaw ko na... puro na ko higa..."
"Then just sit over here first. Magpapadala ako ng agahan dito"

"Good lord don't sniff on me this early" pagtulak ko ng bahagya sa kanya
"Ehh" she protested hugging me to keep me close
"When did you become so clingy, huh? Haha"
"Ayaw mo?" Veronica said removing her arms around me. I pulled her up bago ko inayos ang buhok niya. She just leaned on me while I do that.
"Alright you need to sleep more" sambit ko about to lift her up pero umiwas siya
"Ayaw"

"Dito na ko. Ayaw ko na humiga"
"Veronica..." sambit ko making her look sharp on me
"Baby, I mean... you can't sleep here."
She wrapped her arms around my neck and leaned back
"Goodness haha" sambit ko na lang lifting her towards my chair bago ko siya kinandong sa hita ko
