Prologue

Narrator pov

Two pairs of steps can be heard from two people one approximately 5'11 the other 5'9. Then gunshots along with the sound of blades hitting flesh, then a thud.

???: *lying on the floor badly injured* no p-please. I'll wake up. I-I'll forget everything

???1:*can be seen with blood splattered on him* sorry micolash, but with your death we can end this nightmare you created.

???2: *crosses his arms not caring about the blood on himself* you brought this upon yourself.

Micolash: Hahaha. You talk as if you're doing some good. Please your just Hunters, and Hunters are no better than the beasts you hunt. Hahaha hahaha.

???1: maybe *cocks his Evelyn's hammer back pointing it at micolash*

???2: *cocks the hammer on his Hunters blunderbuss pointing at micolash *

???1: but at least you'll be quiet now.

Micolash: WAIT PLEASE N....

Two gunshots are heard along with a thud. The two Hunters then walk away as they walk to the next area they hear a bridge lifting. They look at each other and nod then proceed to and across the bridge stopping to light a lantern in the middle of the room taking blood vials and qs bullets the tiny messagers had for the Hunters. The pair continue on to an outside balcony coming across some enemies and taking them out quickly before they have a chance to retaliate. Sometime later they come across the ghostly figure of queen Yharnam. The shorter Hunter nods his head in respect to the queen the other continues walking not paying the queen any mind. The short Hunter follows after his comrade into a elevator. Both Hunters ready themselves for what could be their greatest challenge. The elevator stops at the very top ,both Hunters step out readying their weapons the taller Hunter with his holy moonlight sword, the shorter one his hunters axe extending the handle two handing it. The two walk forward hearing a babys cry causing their adrenaline to start pumping putting them on edge as they walk closer they see a baby walker then out of nowhere a beast falls from the sky landing gracefully the Hunters stare at it as it closes its wings then looks at them bearing no face it then pulls out 8 blades with its 8 arms ready to fight. The Hunters proceed forward ready to kill it. For the next 10 minutes all that can be heard are gunshots here and there along with blades hitting flesh and then blood splattering. In the loft where the fight is happening we see the Hunters the taller one holding his side as it bleeds the shorter one on one knee holding his shoulder both breathing heavily looking at the beast.

???2: *breaths heavily * this going to be tricky huh* looks at ???1*

???1: yep * tosses a blood vial to ???2 then pulls down mask drinking his blood vial*

???2: * catches it then pulls down his mask and drinks the blood vial then pulls his mask back up*

???1: * pulls mask up*

Cracking can be heard from ???2 as he stands up letting go of his shoulder, the other Hunter let's go of his side then lifts his moonlight sword as he slides his hand across the blade it gets covered in a ethereal moonlight making the blade wider and longer. The shorter Hunter's axe disappears replaced with a katana like weapon, the chakage he then slices his hand on the blade letting it get covered in his blood as his blood becomes solid and sharp as well as extending the blade. Both Hunters look at each other and nod then look at the beast before charging at it.

More time passes with the sound of blades clashing, gunfire blood splatter.. the shorter Hunter rolls behind the beast as the taller Hunter blocks the beasts downward slashes with his blade letting his comrade get behind it.

???2: * jumps up stabing the beast in the back with his chakage *

The beast backs up trying to shake the Hunter off. The taller Hunter takes the opportunity to charge the beast thrusting his moonlight sword though its chest while avoiding hitting his comrade. Both Hunters yell as they stab further into the beast.

???1&???2: RAAAAGH

After a few moments the beast stops moving then falling over turning into dust. Both Hunters then go back to back weapons at the ready as they still hear the baby's cry. After a minute everything goes quiet the Hunters then see a lantern come out the ground near them along with the tiny messengers. The Hunters fall on their butts tired while still back to back.

???2:* takes deep breaths* its over. heh haha it's over! * starts laughing *

???1:* laughs with him * it sure is.

After a couple moments of laughing the taller Hunter stands up then holds out his hand out to the shorter Hunter. The shorter Hunter takes it then is pulled to his feet by the taller Hunter. both Hunters walk to the lantern the shorter Hunter then lights it. They both kneel down to the lantern holding a hand just above the tiny messagers.

???1:* looks at ???2* you ready.

???2: *nods* yeah.

Both Hunters close their eyes. A few moments later they open them finding themselves in the Hunters Dream. They are then greeted by the doll's soothing voice.

Doll: hello good Hunters.

They both look at her. they then see the workshop burning. They then look back at the doll.

Doll: as you can see the dream is coming to an end. The night will soon be over. Gehrmen will see you two now he is by the tree.

Both Hunters begin to walk away from the Doll twords where Gehrmen is not before hearing the Doll speak again.

Doll: farewell good Hunters may you find your worth in the waking world

Both Hunters nod and wave to the Doll then make there way to Gehrmen. The find Gehrmen at the foot of the tree in his wheelchair waiting. Gehrmen spots them then smiles softly. The Hunters stand before Gehrmen.

Gehrmen: good Hunters , you've done well. The night is near its end. Now, I will show you mercy. You will die, forget the dream, and awake under the morning sun. You will be freed...from this terrible Hunters dream...

Both Hunters look at each other then back to Gehrmen and nod. The taller Hunter taps the shorter ones shoulder signaling for him to go first. The shorter one nods facing away from Gehrmen getting on his knees looking down. Gehrmen stands up from his wheelchair readying his burial blade getting into stance ready to swing. The shorter Hunter closes his eyes taking a deep breath then exhales. Gehrmen then swings his blade swiftly beheading the shorter Hunter in one motion. A soft thud is heard as the shorter Hunter's body falls over in the flowers then glows and finally turns to dust. Gehrmen then looks at the taller Hunter. The Hunter nods getting in the same position as the shorter Hunter was in.

Gehrmen: fear the blood

The Hunter nods then closes his eyes lowering his head. Gehrmen readys his blade then in one swift motion beheads the Hunter his body falling over with a soft thud.

Blackness, Darkness, nothingness is all the Hunter sees or not see.
