Julian pov

" It's been two an a half months since me and Zayne returned home. Not to long ago I met a woman named Akali, we've become close friends. I enjoy hanging out with her, but she was busy today so I decided to take a walk around the city."

Narrator pov

We find our Hunter in his hynrek set garb walking through the city. As he is walking he comes across a park. He then sits down on a bench, watching as the children play. After sometime he sees memories of how he and Zayne met Seraphine. He smiles softly behind his mask. An hour later a elder man comes over and sits next to Julian.

Man: afternoon young man.

Julian: afternoon sir.

Man: are you a soldier?

Julian: No sir.

Man: hmm. Your eyes tell a different story.

Julian: * chuckles * and what story is that?

Man: they tell the story of a someone who has seen the worst in man, as well as having to fight and kill just to survive. A man who has looked at man's darkest part and survived.

Julian looks down and looks at his hands.

Man: that's the story your eyes tell.

Julian: I just want to forget it. The things I've seen, the things I've done.

Man:we all want to forget the wrongs we've done. But as the saying goes, those who forget are bound to repeat what they have done.

Julian: I guess you could say I'm afraid of succumbing to the darkness I've seen.

Man: arnt we all. But it is you who must face your darkness, to ensure you don't fall to it.

Julian only nods, as he looks to the sky. After a moment he stands up then looks at the man. Julian then realize the man is gone. After a moment Julian walks away. Sometime later we find our Hunter standing outside of a library.

Julian: let's see what kind of story's you have.

Our Hunter enters the library and starts looking through a different assortment of books until one catches his eyes. He goes to grab it, but then his hand meets another. He turns his head left and see a female fox vastayan.

Julian: apologies ma'am.

Woman: oh no it's quite alright. You can go ahead.

Julian: how about we both read it at a table?

Woman: hmm. Sure I don't see why not.

Julian nods and grabs the book, then he and the woman walk to a table and sit down. Julian then places the book on the table and opens it.

Julian: would you like to start?

Woman: how about we read in silence.

Julian nods. And so they read in silence, enjoying each other's company. Some hours later they finish reading the book.

Julian: hmm. Not bad.

Woman: indeed. I enjoyed it.

Julian: want to find another one?

Woman: sure. But I pick it.

Julian: sure, I'll be waiting

The woman smiles as she takes the book and leaves. The Hunter then sits back and relaxes as he waits for the woman. A couple minutes later she returns with another book.
