Tord and Sophie continue walking around the empty town. Neither wanted to stick around in this place much longer, but with no time travel device in their possession anymore they weren't getting back to the present anytime soon.

"Hey Tord. I was wondering when you might make a start on my robot body?" Jon's voice fades in as he appears beside the norski as he and Sophie begin to run.

"Now's not a good time Jon, we're kinda stuck in a god awful future run by Red Leader."

"But can't you just teleport out with the time travel device?"

"I would've done that already had it not been broken!" He yells at the ghost, sliding to a stop to face him.

Sophie looks at him in confusion.

"Look Jon, I'll get to it when I can. But I think I have more important matters to deal with, okay?"

"Right, right. S-Sorry. I'll... leave you alone..."

Tord sighs, feeling a little bad about yelling.

"Wait, Jon. I'm... sorry for yelling. I'm just very stressed and tired, alright?" He apologizes. "I'm not telling you to go away, so you can stick around if you want..."

Jon's smile returns a little. Tord turns to look at Sophie, who's giving him weird looks again for talking to himself.

"Do I need to convince you any more that Jon's haunting me?" He asks.

She shakes her head, smiling sadly.

"No, but I can't help but feel a little jealous that you can talk to him and I can't." She laughs slightly. "I missed him a lot..."

Although she can't see it, Jon smiles fondly at the girl he calls his friend, a hand over his heart. Tord chuckles before stuffing his hands into his pockets.

"Okay. Since we've come to a halt, maybe we should figure out how to get out of here." He says.

The three of them put their heads together and begin thinking of what to do, an intense expression of concentration on their faces. After a moment, Jon gasps.

"What? What's your idea Jon?" Tord asks, excited to hear what Jon thought of.

"Huh? Oh, I don't have a plan. I just remembered that I'm hungry... sorry, hehe."  He grins nervously.

The excitement in Tord's eyes disappears, frowning in disappointment. He turns to Sophie, who still looks deep in thought.

"What about you Soph? Any ideas that DON'T involve food." He asks, eyeing the ghost beside him before quietly mumbling to himself. "How the heck do ghosts even get hungry?"

"Well, I think the most logical thing to do would be looking for something familiar." She says, looking up.

Tord blankly looks at her for a moment, the gears turning in his head.

"I'm not sure I follow. Elaborate."

"What I mean is why don't we look for our future friends?" She suggests. "I've had encounters with the future before with Edd and the others remember?"

"Oh yeah. You encountered the future variants of Edd, Matt and Tom." He recalls from what Sophie told him in the diner. "You think they'll recognize you?"

"I'm not sure. But I remember that Future Edd used a wristwatch version of a time travel device to get to the present. If we find him, perhaps he can let us use it to get home!" She continues.

"Haha, not a bad idea!" Tord grins with a chuckle. "So, where do we find him?"

"...I have no idea."

As they think, Jon begins looking around. He notices to their left an entrance to some kind of marketplace...or more likely, a market where they don't sell things like groceries. People walking or stumbling around could be seen.
