12- To You, Someday

Yuji makes it to Junpei's school as he manages to get by the veil that was put up by Mahito. Yuji runs to the main hall and he bursts through the door, only to see Junpei holding up one his classmates using his new jujutsu technique.

"What're you doing, Junpei?" Yuji asks in disbelief.

"Stay out of this, jujutsu sorcerer" Junpei says as he looks over at Yuji.

Junpei drops his classmate to the ground as he starts to run off, Yuji going straight after him.

--- outside of the school ---

Kuina arrives outside of the school as she notices the veil in front of her. She pushes her hand through it as she steps inside.

"Not wanting to keep jujutsu sorcerers out" Kuina tells herself as she continues to run into the school.

"You're back are you?" Mahito asks as she runs by him, not caring that he's there.

"I'll deal with you later" Kuina says as she sticks her middle finger up at him.

Kuina makes her way into the school as she hears shouting from upstairs. Kuina makes it upstairs and she sees Junpei laid on the ground whilst Yuji is standing there.

"Yuji, are you okay?" Kuina asks as she comes over.

"Kuina, what are you doing here?" Yuji asks as he looks at her, "never mind that. Junpei, I don't know what your motive is. I'm sure you have a reason for doing this. But, is it really worth throwing away the life that you have? The human heart is a delusion? Can you say that in front of your Mother?".

"People don't have hearts" Junpei says as he starts to cry and he bawls his fists.

"You still-" Yuji tries to say.

"They don't!" Junpei yells as he looks up at the two of them, "otherwise... otherwise... that would mean people cursed me and my Mum with those hearts. That would just be too much. I wouldn't know what is right or what's wrong anymore".

Junpei sends his technique to Kuina and Yuji as the two of them are stabbed by the technique, poison flowing into their body's, "why didn't you dodge it?" Junpei asks in disbelief as he releases his technique.

"Sorry" Yuji says as he walks towards Junpei before dropping to his knees, "I said a lot of self important stuff without understanding anything. Tell me what happened. I swear we won't curse you anymore. So please, tell me".

"Someone cursed my Mother the other day. She died. It was horrible. They mutilated her. She was barely recognisable" Junpei says as he breaks down as Yuji holds his hands.

"No way... you Mum" Yuji says as he looks at Junpei.

"Junpei, come to Jujutsu High" Kuina says as she kneels down as well as she holds Junpei's hand, "there are tonnes of crazy strong teachers and reliable friends there. Although I don't study there anymore, Yuji will be there and you can meet everyone. Come be a part of it, forget whatever that patchwork man told you. I can help you. I know who cursed your Mum so let me help you get revenge".

"You... know?" Junpei asks in disbelief.

There are footsteps from behind Junpei as Kuina and Yuji look up and see Mahito stood there.

"Who are you?" Yuji asks as Kuina stands up.

"Yuji, Junpei, get behind me" Kuina says as she pulls Junpei and Yuji behind her.

"Nice to meet you, vessel of Sukuna" Mahito says as he looks at Yuji before transforming his arm.

"Wait, Mahito-san" Junpei says as he launches his arm at Yuji, only for Kuina to cut it off.
