Drowning & Floating (Ziam & 1D in The Little Merman)

Zayn and Liam take a carriage out of the castle and into the kingdom.

"So, what do you want to do?" Liam asks.

Zayn looks around, and notices two puppets sticking out of a small stage-like-booth.

Zayn is absolutely mystified by it. He walks over to it and watches as the puppets interact.

The puppeteer under the booth says, "Hello, friend~" in a high-pitched voice and makes one of the puppets offer its hand.

When Zayn squeezes the puppets hand, he pulls too hard and ends up ripping the puppet off the puppeteer's hand by accident.

Instantly, the puppeteer stops being cheerful and gets up to glare at Zayn angrily. Zayn notices the guy's angry expression and looks at the puppet in his own hand in pure confusion.

The puppeteer snatches the puppet back and yells at Zayn angrily. Zayn is really freaked out. Some guy he doesn't know is yelling at him, he can't talk, and even if he could, what would he say?

I'm sorry. Zayn feels like he might start crying.

Liam sees this from where he was watching in the carriage, and instantly rushes over to Zayn and wraps an arm around Zayn.

"Is there a problem, sir?" Liam asks sternly.

The puppeteer instantly recognizes the prince and apologizes quietly, walking away with his booth to set up elsewhere.

Zayn turns to Liam and gives him a grateful smile.

Liam smiles but, but frowns when he notices the tears still in Zayn's eyes. Liam gently wipes them away with his finger.

"Please don't cry. Even if you are still handsome with those tears in your eyes."

Zayn instantly blushes, but so does Liam.

Where did that come from?!

Liam changes the subject by offering to take Zayn to a bakery.

Zayn tilts his head in confusion as if to say, "What's a bakery?"

Liam smiles warmly at Zayn. "Don't worry, it'll be fun. It'll work out better than the puppets.

Ah, so that's what those were. Zayn thinks to himself.

Liam takes Zayn by the hand and leads him to a bakery that's nearby. They walk in and at the counter, they see a guy who looks a lot like a human version of Harry, but Zayn knows that it's not Harry because... well yeah. Logic.

"Hey Sebastian." Liam greets. (A.N: See what I did there~?)

"Hello, Prince Liam. Your usual?" Sebastian prompts.

"Actually, I thought you could give us about 4 of the best treats here. This one..." Liam taps Zayn lightly. "...hasn't had food from a bakery before and I insisted we come here."

Sebastian looks at Zayn in disbelief. "How have you never gone to a bakery?"

Zayn just looks at Sebastian in surprise. Then, he looks at the floor, feeling shy and embarrassed.

Sebastian smiles. "It's okay to be shy. Besides, nobody can resist my charm for too long."

Sebastian winks before selecting three of the most popular treats of the bakery. Then he leaves and goes into the kitchen.

He comes back with a treat that says 'spread love' in cursive font frosting.

"Here, eat this and remember to spread love." Sebastian says as he grabs a bag and puts the other treats in the bag. Liam pays for it and takes Zayn outside.
