Drowning & Floating (Ziam & 1D in The Little Merman)

Normally, Zayn doesn't like waking up in the morning, but today was an exception. 

Yesterday had been a huge step in getting to know Liam and they almost kissed. 

Zayn felt that the more time they spend together, the more he realizes how much he cares about Liam. 

Also, spending more time together gives more chances for Liam to reciprocate the feelings. 

After all, Liam didn't seem bothered when they went in for the almost-kiss. 

"Frankly, it seemed like he was leaning more..." Zayn thinks. "Aa~ Okay, now I'm just overthinking things. Hmmm... I wonder if Liam is a morning person."

With that, Zayn looks at the clock, realizing it was almost 9. Zayn instantly starts getting dressed.

*♡*♢*♧*♤*DOWNSTAIRS~

"Liam, I can't believe you actually found him!" Grimsby says, astonished.

Liam is standing still with a blank expression on his face. The mysterious guy Liam met last night is now clinging onto his harm, stroking it lovingly.

Liam slowly and emotionlessly drones, "Yes.... Jakob and I... shall be married... at once..."

"But Liam, what about traditions and-" Grimsby is cut off by Jakob grabbing him by the collar.

Jakob's eyes suddenly start glowing a light green color. Jakob speaks in a voice that is a lot like Zayn's, though Jakob doesn't have the same accent. "Grimsby, look into my eyes and tell me that you can say no."

Grimsby looks into Jakob's eyes and finds that he is literally physically incabable of saying no.

Grimsby instantly stiffens and gains a blank expression on his face. Grimsby drones out, "I will go get the staff to prepare your wedding immediately."

As Grimsby leaves the room, Zayn enters it. Zayn is about to walk up to Liam and wave hello, but stops when he sees Jakob.

Zayn's mood instantly sours seeing Jakob being all touch-y with Liam. Zayn's mind rushes,"Who in the bad-place is this and why the hell is he clinging onto Leeyum?!"

Jakob hums to Liam, "Hey, Babe, can you go get ready? I wanna see you in your best outfit for our wedding, my little Liambean~"

Zayn feels something snap inside himself. "Did he just call him Limabean?! But that's my cute nickname!"

"Jakob, I will put on my best outfit for you, Babe." Liam drones, walking past Zayn, completely ignoring him.

"Thanks, Leeyum~" Jakob smirks at Zayn, who is looking at Jakob with a mix of hurt, anger, jealousy, and confusion. Oddly enough, it's mostly confusion.

Jakob's fake smile drops, and is replaced by a nasy sneer. "Confused? I'm not shocked. You seem pretty dumb."

Zayn scowls at Jakob.

"Oh~ Doesn't it just STING when someone takes the one you love away?" Jakob asks tauntingly.

Zayn glares at Jakob angrily. A hurricane of negativity is swarming in Zayn's head and he can't say anything.

Jakob hums, "We are getting married on Limabean's big boat and you can't come. Why? Because you're a miserable idiot who thought Prince Liam Payne could ever fall in love with you. You are just some crazy day dreamer who is living in a deluded fairytale." Connor says before laughing at Zayn.

Zayn wants to yell, "And you are stealing my Liam from me!" But Zayn knows it's pointless to yell, and Zayn knows that Liam was never really his.
