Drowning & Floating (Ziam & 1D in The Little Merman)

Zayn sighs and stops swimming. "Li, I'm trying to keep you safe."

"Zee, if you're not safe, I'm not safe."

Zayn just stares at Liam, having all sorts of mixed feelings about that.

Liam reddens a bit. "I could have phrased that better."

Suddenly, something sharp and made of pure enchanted gold tears through the ship, separating Liam and Zayn, making them fall into the water and see the colossal monstrosity before them.

Turns out the sharp gold thing was the top of Posidon's crown on top of Connor as he rose out of the ocean, now a giant, wielding immense power.

"You pitiful insignificant nimrods!" Connor yells in a low, deep, mighty voice.

Liam and Zayn, who rush to each other in the water, look up in terror as Connor roars, "Fear me, sh*t-heads of the land and sea! The waves obey my every f*cking whim!"

Connor puts the trident in the water and starts shoving it back and forth, making large tidal waves appear.

Zayn and Liam try to hold onto eachother, but the force of the water knocks them apart.

"Liam!" Zayn shrieks as he sees Liam thrown several yards away in the force of the oceans.

"The sea and all of its spoils bow to my power, b*tches!" Connor starts stirring the water around him with the trident, making a massive whirlpool appear.

It touches the ocean floor, making the nearby sunken ships emerge from the waters. Zayn is almost smashed between two shipwrecks, but moves out of the way just in time. 

Zayn sees Niall's rock nearby and rushes over to it, proceeding to cling to it desperately as he searches frantically for Liam.

"Liam?! Where are you?!" Zayn calls out.

Liam has found himself tanged in some rope attached to a ship. He untangles himself and uses the rope to climb onto the top of the ship. Even though the ship has been sunk for years, it still works. Liam rushes over to the steering wheel and pulls. While Liam tries to steer the ship, Zayn has been swept up into the whirlpool.

Somehow, Zayn's managed to fall onto the now dry seafloor, in the center of the whirlpool. Connor sees this and start sending blasts of magic down the whirlpool's center, Zayn barely dodging them.

Connor is so focused on Zayn that he doesn't see Liam in the ship approaching him from behind. Liam sees the front part of the ship is very sharp and ends up forcing the ship into Connor's back, stabbing him. 

Connor jumps, screaming in pain. In that moment, Connor loses control of himself and his magic and starts a thunderstorm.

Of course, now that Connor is a massive giant monster, the thunder proceeds to hit, shock, electrocute, burn, and kill Connor. 

As Connor dies, his magic is released, including trident's and everyone else's. Connor's body seemingly disappears with the magic.

The storm and massive tidal waves and the whirlpool that Connor conjured all disappear.

In Connor's lair, the writhing polyps find themselves returned to merfolk. They are free and they leave the lair, hoping to never see it again.

The contract dissipates, instantly returning King Poseidon back to normal. Posidon uses his magic to return his magical items to himself.
