It was my 2nd day at the Boston school and I really did not want to be there, not after how my first day went. But how worse could any of this get. I went into the classroom and sat down in my seat, I opened my desk to grab a pencil and I saw cockroaches all over the inside of my desk. I screamed and jumped back, the mean girl started to laugh and so did the rest of the class, I didn't notice anyone who wasn't laughing at me. The mean girl picked up one of the cockroaches and threw it in my face. I screamed "get it off". " I heard you weren't into bugs so I thought I'd try to get you over your fear" the girl said laughing. The teacher walked in and saw all the bugs everywhere. "Everyone, get these cockroach's picked up and out of the classroom" she yelled. I stood away in fear of those cockroaches. "Hey Eli" the mean girl said to me. "My name is Ellis or Ellie, not Eli" I told her. "I don't care, it's Eli now, tell Mrs Carrol about this and you may see 3 or 4 cockroaches in your lunch" she said and walked away. I started to tear up, I hated this school so much and did not like this girl. I had no idea what her name is.

As soon as all the cockroaches were picked up, we all sat down in our seats and Mrs. Carrol explained the next assignment. We had to do a writing prompt on a person who inspired us. I decided to write about my dad although he is dead and I never met him. I wrote about the surgical tapes Zozo showed me and the pictures and videos. As soon as the time was up, my teacher drew 3 sticks for people to share. "First person I drew is Leland" she said. "I wrote about my best friend, Carter over there". We all looked at Carter who had the biggest fake smirk in the world. After Leland was done talking all about Carter. McKenzie was picked next and I saw the mean girl stand up, her name is McKenzie? "For my inspiration, I chose my mom, she's still alive and buys me very nice clothes" she said looking at me with a smirk. I looked down. "Thank you McKenzie, our final person I drew is Ellis". I stood up shaking. "I uh wrote about my dad" I said scared. "No way, you wrote about a dead person" McKenzie said laughing. "McKenzie enough, Ellis please continue" my teacher yelled. "He inspired me to be the person I am, I still have pictures, videos and even previous surgeries he had done, I am inspired by him to live up to my dreams and to be a good human being" I said shouting towards McKenzie who just sat there with a smirk on her face. "Thank you, Ellis". "Now let's move on" my teacher said.

It was recess time and I didn't want to go out there, who would I play with? I sat down on the bench and looked at the note my mom wrote me this morning. Then McKenzie came up to me and took the note out of my hand. "Aww look what mommy wrote for her precious baby, how cute" she said ripping it up. "Stop it" I yelled at her. She then grabbed me and shoved me face first into the wood chips and walked away. I started to cry out and that's when my teacher ran over and saw my injuries. "Ellis, what happened, are you okay" Mrs. Carrol asked me. "I'm fine, I just tripped over the concrete and fell into the wood chips" I said totally lying to her. "Let's go to the nurse" she said helping me up and walking me to the nurse. The nurse decided to call my mom after removing all the wood chips that were stuck in my face, I just cannot believe this is happening and I have no one to tell.

My mom ran into the nurses office and grabbed me and hugged me super tight. "Oh baby, I'm glad your alright" she said with a sigh "come on, let's go home and watch a movie". I agreed and went with her attached to her side. We watched Trolls and ate a big bucket of popcorn, I love the afternoons I get with just my mom.
