"Those kids are trouble." Chad charming says.
It's another day of classes for the students of Aurodan and, another day of having the villain's children attending with them.
Ben looks over to see Evie and Mal leaning against their lockers talking and sharing warm smiles. Ben knows that while he sees two, admittedly beautiful, but normal girls enjoying their time before class his friends can only see Evie and Mal's mothers.
"Come on, Chad. Give them a chance."
"No offense, Bennybear, but you're just too trusting." Audrey condescendingly pats his cheek. "Look, I know your mom fell in love with a big nasty beast who turned out to be a prince. But with my mom, the evil fairy was just the evil fairy. That girl's mother."
"I think you're wrong about them." Ben shook off her hand and walked over two the two colorful girls. "Hey."
"Hey."
"Hello." Evie smiles.
"I didn't get to talk to you guys yesterday after classes, how was your first day?"
"Super."
Evie nudges Mal with her elbow for her sarcastic comment. "It was as we expected it to be. Very different from how school is on the Isle."
"Yeah, it's actually clean for one. No collapsed walls, abandoned rooms with broken desks, or graffiti."
"I can see the appeal for the last one." Ben chuckles at the art on the girl's lockers. "How about I sign you up for art class, maybe spread the appreciation in a place that won't get you into trouble."
"Way to take the fun out of it."
Loud laughter erupts from down the hall where Audrey, Chad, and the rest of their group are standing. Jane rushes past them and into the girl's bathroom with red eyes.
"We'll talk to you later Ben."
"See ya, Benny Boo." Mal and Evie wave and disappear into the bathroom before Ben can answer.
"Bye." He whispers to the space they left.

"Jane, right? Are you okay?" Evie asks.
She's always been the one who offers comfort when conning our targets. A sympathetic ear, a warm hand to wipe the tears away, someone soft that can lead them to the power they desperately want.
"Yes, I'm fine. Nothing I'm not used to."
"Aww, you poor thing. Here let me help you." Evie wets her handkerchief and cleans the makeup from Jane's face.
"Isn't your mom the headmistress, why are they targeting you?"
Jane scoffs, "I'm not a pretty princess isn't that reason enough?"
Mal and Evie share a look, an entire conversation held in that one glance. Evie steps closer to Jane and her voice drops to a teasing whisper. "It's so unfair isn't it? How they go around acting like they're better than everyone just because of who their parents are. I say we prove them wrong and I know just who can do it."
Evie turns Jane to face Mal whose eyes are glowing green and has her hand held out. Jane, in a trance, reaches for it. "What about classes?"
"We're the children of some of the most notorious villains I'm sure they won't be surprised by us skipping."
Jane trails behind the two girls in awe of their confidence all the way back to their dorm room. She trusts them as they give her a complete makeover using both magic and their own skills, relaxing so much she doesn't panic as the rest of the VK squad enter the room and sit around her.
"They're a lot nicer than I expected."
"Yeah, they're the reason we're all friends now. Evie made the hurt go away and then brought us to Mal who had the power to make sure it stayed away." Carlos says holding Cora close.
Jane silently watches Mal lovingly peck Evie on the lips before getting back to work on her outfit.
"There's nothing we wouldn't do for them, give to them, in order to repay all they have done for us. You get what we mean?" Jay says sending Jane's thoughts spiraling.

"You know, you're welcome to sleep over," Evie says as she stands by the door with Jane.
"No, I need to go talk to my mom, I'm sure she's heard by now how I skipped all my classes today. Next time though, we should sleepover at my house!"
"Definitely," Mal smirked and waved her fingers goodbye.
Evie sighs and closes the door, "I'm glad she said no, I don't really trust her enough to sleep beside her."
They crawl into bed together legs intertwined with Mal being the big spoon. "I'm sure it's him. It's been a few years, but he looks just like the boy."
Mal groans and digs her forehead into the nape of Evie's neck. "Why would we dream of Ben of all people when we were kids? He doesn't even have magic."
"I don't know Mal, I don't know," Evie whispers.
