Y/N and the others continue to travel to the shrine as Taruho took a separate route from them after traveling with them for a while. While they traveled, Y/N felt rather worried about what Shion said to Taruho.

Matatabi: You're worried about what she said aren't you?

Y/N: I would be lying saying if I wasn't.

Isobu: Even so that shouldn't make you worry.

Son: Heh, so what if she can see his death? Not like that's gonna happen.

Kokuo: Perhaps. Though, Taruho appeared to be fine with dying from what he told us.

Isobu: Maybe. Canally change their fate?

Son: Why are you even asking Isobu? I never figured you one for this kind of talk.

Y/N: Who cares about what fate has to say? If fate wanted me dead, then it would've happened a long time ago. Besides, I'm not gonna let fate stop me. Said as he smirked. I saved your sorry hide Son from being sealed away and being used as a weapon by that old bastard Onoki.

Son: Hehehe, you're right about that. Of course, it took you some time to get me to trust you. However, after all, that you did for me, you can count on me to have your back.

Kokuo: Normally I'm not one for fighting but you saved my life from those Lizardmen that tried to kill Han. If it wasn't for you and Makkuro, neither myself nor Han would be alive.

Isobu: Not to mention, you and Matatabi freed me while I was placed under a genjutsu. I doubt that I'll ever repay you for freeing me from that and from the scroll I was sealed in.

Matatabi: Regardless of where this road leads you, we'll be with you every step of the way.

Kokuo: Indeed.

Isobu: We'll stick with you however long it takes.

Son: You got that right. Even if all the Five Nations are your enemies, you can count on us to crush those ants into dust.

A small smile appeared on his face as he felt happy.

Y/N: Thanks.

Despite losing Kehira, Matatabi was the only other real family he had left. Even though she is a tailed beast, it didn't change the fact that the bond they made over the ycouldn'tldn't be severed so easily as it would even be considered impossible to break.

They continued to travel across the land as they followed a ravine which was the only source of fresh water. As such the terrain was rather dangerous which Shion didn't enjoy at all as they had to stop on one of the rock formations that were in the middle of the river.

Shion: Are you carzy!!! This path is too dangerous!!! Are you trying to protect me or kill me!!! There has to be another way we can go!!!!

Y/N: If we wanted to kill you, we would've done so already so we don't have to hear your constant complaining.

Emichi: Look, this is the only freshwater source in this region. Even if we were to take a different route, finding fresh water would be rather difficult.

Yoiko: Plus this terrain gives us the advantage of using water against their fire style.

Jatora: Perhaps. Though I sense that those attackers we fought possess some kind of unique skill.

Y/N: What do you mean?

Jatora: I'm not entierly sure but I sensed some kind of ominous aura around them last we fought. I can't exactly what it is but is not one to be taken lightly.
