A day before the ceremony

"Ohh! I can't wait!"Honeykit squealed. Tomorrow is the apprentice ceremony, when Featherkit and her littermates come out of the nursery and become apprentices. Bristlekit and Featherkit weren't as enthusiastic as Honeykit. They both wondered what being an apprentice was like and what consequences they would have if they got in trouble. They also worried about who their mentors were going to be. Though, Nightkit just kept his cool. He did want to become an apprentice, but he wasn't as excited as Honeykit. "Who do you think we'll get as our mentor?" he asked. Honeykit was ready for that question already. "I really want Ambermoon! Or maybe Sparkpelt!"she yowled excitedly. Their mother , Cinderheart, woke up from Honeykit's yowl."Honeykit!"she shushed. Cinderheart slapped her tail over Honeykit's mouth. "A few more moments of talking and you guys are going to sleep. You have your ceremonies tomorrow in the morning. I have to groom you before it starts." Cinderheart returned to sleep as Honeykit giggled in the back. "I would want a strong mentor that will teach me how to fight!" Nightkit said proudly. Bristlekit said,"I would want the same cats as what Honeykit said." Featherkit nodded in agreement. Bristlekit yawned as her eyes began to close. "I'm going to sleep. I don't want to be tired in the morning." she said and went into their nest, cuddling up with Cinderheart. The others did the same and went inside the nest. Featherkit could feel Honeykit buzzing with excitement beside her. I don't know how she'll contain her excitement until the morning Featherkit thought. I hope tomorrow will be a good day
