She felt a nose touch the tip of her ear. A familiar scent bathed her. Featherlight squinted her eyes and saw a tom with a white pelt leaning over. "Polestar?" she whispered. Soon, Featherlight was wide awake. "Polestar!" she exclaimed happily. Featherlight jumped to her paws and rubbed her muzzle to his cheek. Polestar smiled and licked her ear. His starry pelt shined. Featherlight was back in a grassy meadow with the sun setting.

"It has been a long time Featherlight." Polestar murmured. "But I don't have a lot of time left. There is something important I have to tell you. And I can't stay long."

Featherlight wished for him to stay but she knew he couldn't. "What is it?" she asked.

Polestar stared straightly into her eyes. "The great danger does not end Featherlight." he warned. "It's just getting started. The snake will only be threatened by the feather. Blood will spill."

Featherlight blinked in confusion. "W-What?" she stammered. "What does that mean?" Then, her dream began to fade. "Wait Polestar!" she wailed. His pelt began to fade away slowly. He looked down to her.

"Remember Featherlight," he said with his last words. "The snake is powerful, but only it will be defeated by the feather."

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒏𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒍, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒇𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓. What did that mean? "Polestar!" she begged. But it was to late.

Featherlight woke up with a jolt in the medicine den, scaring Bristleheart who was grooming her beside her. "Featherlight!" she exclaimed. "You're awake!" Bristleheart rubbed her cheek, purring.

Featherlight blinked and looked around. Alderheart walked towards her. "You seem spooked." he meowed. "Had a bad dream?" Alderheart placed leaves beside her. Featherlight recognized it as thyme. She licked them up quickly and swiped her tongue on her paw and washed her ears.

"Yeah." she muttered. She was clearly disappointed with her dream.

Alderheart nodded his head to Bristleheart. "You can go back to your duties." he ordered. "I wouldn't want Flywhisker to be mad for you to skip your tasks." Bristleheart nodded and looked at Featherlight. "I'll tell Cinderheart and Finleap about your awaken."

Featherlight acknowledged her and laid back down drowsily in her comfortable nest. "What happened to me?" she asked Alderheart.

"You were unconscious and fainted by the hard blow and shock." he explained in a rough voice. Featherlight never heard him like that. "Alderheart, are you okay? What happened to your voice?"

Alderheart shook his head and chuckled softly at her. "I'm fine Featherlight. It's just due to....old age." he replied. He walked around confidently to prove to Featherlight he was okay. "You should be worrying about yourself Featherlight. I can't count how many times you were injured your whole life."

Featherlight let out a soft purr of amusement. "Neither can I." she agreed. She then hesitated, thinking of Polestar's warning. "Alderheart," she began. "I have something important to tell you."

     "How important?"

Featherlight leaned close to his ear while he sorted some herbs. "About StarClan." she whispered and narrowed her eyes at him. Alderheart paused and slowly turned his head to her. "StarClan?" he murmured. He shoved the herbs away and padded to her. "What about StarClan?" he asked curiously.

Featherlight checked around to make sure no cat is eavesdropping. "Polestar," she began. She told him everything single word Polestar said and even repeated it for then second time. "The snake is powerful, but only it will be defeated by the feather." Alderheart said out loud and thought to himself. "Do StarClan's prophecies usually like this? Am I suppose to get these?" she asked and showered him with questions. "Am I normal? Why am I getting this? Is my future suppose to be a medicine cat? Am I not suppose to be a warrior?" she wailed softly and started to panic. The thyme has wore off and was replaced by alarm.
