Annie woke up to the sound of bare feet smacking on the hard floor and a frustrated groan. She opened her eyes and almost pissed herself when she saw an entire mansion in front of her until she remembered she was staying with Bea.
She let out a sleepy noise and stretched her arms, scanning the area. She passed out on the couch after Bea showed her around.
"They're such dickheads, I swear to god!" She heard Bea's annoyed voice from behind her. She turned back to see her waving her arms in the air. "All of them! ¡Los voy a despellejar a todos! El pequeño danés es el peor de ellos."
"Bea?" Annie's voice was coated with sleepiness.
"Oh, Annie! You're awake!" She turned and smiled.
"Yeah- is everything okay?" She chuckled nervously, looking over Bea's shoulder at the area she was just in.
"Oh- yeah. Basically our friends were supposed to play for us at the party but now they're saying their shit got stolen." She said, shaking her head and blowing a black strand of hair out of her face.
"Uh- play for you?" Annie cocked her head. "Yeah. They have a band, and we made a deal that if we bought their record, they'd provide entertainment for tonight." She rolled her eyes.
"They canceled on you?" Annie's tone became more wary. So, her first impression of these guys was already that they were a bunch of assholes. "Yeah. Sucios mentirosos. They knew exactly what they were doing." She rolled her eyes again.
Annie furrowed her brows at whatever Spanish words she used and nodded. "Oh. Well, screw that. We don't need them to have fun." Annie shrugged.
Bea sighed and rested her shoulders. "Yeah, but you know what that would do for my rep if I had live music playing at my party? I'd be the coolest person in the neighborhood!" She exclaimed.
Annie chuckled. She remembered how Bea would always say stuff like that as a kid. How popular a certain thing would make her. How she always wanted to be at the top. Normally, she'd find that trait in a woman annoying, but she always found humor in Bea's.
Aurora appeared behind her. "We can do karaoke!" She exclaimed.
Annie spoke up before Bea could. "I'd have to be wasted for that, so there better be booze."
Bea laughed. "Oh trust me, there will be." She raised her eyebrows and shared a knowing look with Rory. "We have to get ready!" She clapped her hands together.
"Oh, shit- wait, I left all my stuff at the motel." Annie stood up from the couch, brushing through her messy hair.
"Damn it." Bea dropped her shoulders. "Okay, let's go. We're picking up your stuff and checking you out of that shithole, come on." She said quickly, sliding on her shoes and grabbing her keys.
"Oh- okay." Annie rushed to find her shoes.
The three girls drove to the dingy motel as fast as they could legally, then Annie ran up the metal stairs to her room while Bea checked her out.
"Okay, got it?" Bea turned to Annie as she reentered the lobby. "Yep!" She said, throwing her backpack over her shoulder.
"That's all you brought?" Aurora asked when they got back in the car.
"Yeah, I left pretty quickly after my dad socked me in the face. Wasn't staying for tea." She remarked. Aurora snapped her mouth shut and shared a wide eyed look with Bea.
"Sorry." Aurora said quietly.
"S'okay. I probably shouldn't joke about it, but I guess it's how I cope when I'm not ripping the skin off my lips-" she stopped herself quickly. "I'll stop talking now." She breathed, buckling her seatbelt.
"Okay." The girls laughed.
They turned on the radio and listened to music the rest of the way home.
Would like to clarify a few things, I know kill 'em all wasn't released until 7.25.83, and I do not speak Spanish so any Spanish speakers, if those few lines were incorrect, I apologize!
