This thing about Tom Riddle is driving me absolutely mental. I need to know why he was in the forbidden forest that night and what exactly he was doing. I decided that I was going to get to the bottom of this mystery called Tom Riddle.

"Have you seen the way he looked at her? There is just no way that he does not like her," Kaia said to Lily in a rapid voice. I tried to tune in to the conversation and get invested because there was always speculation about who liked who in Hogwarts.

"I don't know about that," Lily said with a clear doubt in her voice. She shrugged her shoulders and started to explain her theory. "Aaron is always seeking Poppy out when she is alone and did you look at their conversation today. He touched her shoulder and he hates physical contact!"

I nodded because that does seem out of character for Aaron, but I don't know him too well to really draw conclusions based on this story. Kaia clearly still disagreed because she said "that's just because they're friends. Sometimes people are friends and there is never going to be anything else than just that, friendship."

Then they started talking about some other couple and we gossiped about them for the whole way to the corridor. We got there and we split our ways once we were in the house room.

I pulled the book I was currently reading on my lap, not that I was going to get much ready done. I hoped that Lily would fall asleep quickly so I could get to the library as fast as possible and actually still manage to sleep for a few hours tonight. If I did not sleep at least a decent amount of hours, I was an absolute nightmare in the morning, all grumpy and not in the mood to do anything.

My eyes were looking at the words and I was flipping the pages of the book but there was not one word or sentence that I read. I looked in the corner of my eye at Lily and her eyes were closed and her breath was coming in even exhales but I waited a few more minutes just to be sure.

I slipped out of my bed and I grabbed my cloak. I tiptoed my way to the door and I opened and closed it as gently as possible while also wanting to get out of there as soon as possible. The longer you lingered, the higher your chances are of being caught.

I grabbed my wand and said "lumos". There was a light blazing from my wand and I was still fastly tiptoeing. I looked around me every couple of seconds like some paranoid creep but you could never be too sure. I heard footsteps coming my way and I pressed myself into a corner of the corridor and I put my wand in my cloak.

The footsteps and the voices were getting distant and I decided that it was safe enough to go further with my journey to the library. Once I actually got to the library, then I could properly relax.

I grabbed my wand and I went into the restricted section. You could only borrow books there if you got permission from a teacher to use one of the books in the catalog. No teacher in their right mind was ever going to give me a book about dark rituals and how to perform them, so then I would have to get the books another way. Stealing them, it is.

I looked through the books while my fingers were grazing the sides of the books. I looked and looked till I eventually came across a title called "Dark Rituals and What They Mean." The title says everything that I needed to know and I snatched the book from the shelf. I put the book into my cloak for safe keeping.

Now it is time to get out of here before I am caught. I just wanted to start walking when a voice stopped me dead in my tracks.

"You're not supposed to be here" a dawning voice said behind me. I turned around and there he was. Tom Riddle. He stood there in his uniform and there was not a hair out of place. He must have been on patrol since he was a prefect and all. I was definitely going to be in trouble now.

"Like you always follow the rules" I said to him. He looked at me with surprise evident in his eyes. Even I was surprised by myself, I never spoke to superiors like that. He quickly regained his composure and his eyes got a little darker than before. I shiver ran through my body but it was not one of fear.

"Maybe you should not start sticking your nose in other people's business," he said to me. He looked at me with a dangerous glint in his eyes. "Kind of hypocritical coming from you. It sounds to me like you're sticking your nose in my business" I retorted to him. I looked into his black eyes and I promised myself that I would not be the first one to look away.

"You're much more snappier than they told me that you would be. Listen to my words carefully: What you're doing now, is only going to be dangerous for you. If I were you, I would put that book back on the shelf and just go on with your very mundane life" he told me while he took a step towards me. I pressed my hand against the book that was in my cloak. How did he know that it was there?

"Was that supposed to make me scared?" I asked him while trying not to laugh outright in his face. He might think that he was all intimidating but who was he trying to fool? I stepped towards him and his face was inches away from mine now.

"So you like being dangerous, huh?" he said to me while he brought his face even closer to mine. His face was so close to mine that if one of us leaned forward, they would be kissing the other. Wait, why was I thinking of kissing him.

"I don't get scared easily" I told Riddle and I walked away.
