POV:Amaya's
For the next couple of days more and more letters arrived. Uncle Vernon always found a way to make sure me and Harry couldn't read them. He burned them threw them into water and many other stuff. Until finally this happened. On Sunday morning, Uncle Vernon sat down at the breakfast table looking happy but quite tired. "Fetch me some bacon now boy" He told Harry. Then turning to me he said "I love Sundays do you know why""It's because there is no post on Sundays," he reminded them cheerfully as he spread jam on his bread, "no damn letters today —" Something came flying down the chimney as he was speaking and hit him sharply on the back of the head. A couple of seconds later, thirty or forty letters came whizzing out of the fireplace like bullets. Everyone ducked other than me because I was leaping into the air trying to catch at least one — "Get Out! OUT!" Uncle Vernon grabbed onto me around the waist and threw me harshly into the hall. After Aunt Petunia, Dudley and Harry had run out of the kitchen/living room Uncle Vernon slammed the door shut. We could still hear the letters streaming into the room, bouncing off the walls and floor. "Okay that's it," said Uncle Vernon, trying to speak calmly but it wasn't really working. "I want you all back here in five minutes ready to leave. We're going away. Just pack some clothes. No arguments!" 10 minutes later they started to drive. And drive. Even Aunt Petunia didn't ask where they were going. Every Now and then Uncle Vernon would take a sharp turn and drive in the opposite direction for awhile. They didn't stop to eat or drink all day. By night time Dudley was crying. He'd never had such a bad day in his life. He was starving, he'd missed a bunch of good television programs he'd wanted to see, and might never see his toys again. They kept driving until finally stopped at what looked like a large rock wayout at sea. Perched on top of the rock was the most tiniest shack you could imagine. One Thing was certain, there was no internet in there.
Pov:NO ONES
The storm raged more and more as the night went on. Harry and Amaya couldn't sleep,it was their birthday the next morning after all. They shivered and turned over, trying to get comfortable, their stomach rumbling with hunger. The dial on Dudley's watch, which was dangling over the edge of the sofa, told Amaya she'd be eleven in 2 minutes' time. They layed and watched their birthday tick nearer, wondering if anyone would remember at all, wondering where the person who wrote the letters was now. 5 second, 4 seconds, 3 seconds, 2 seconds 1 SEC-BOOM
POV:AMAYA
2 seconds 1 sec-BOOM what was that?
BASH the door fell down revealing a giant man standing at the doorway. His face was just about completely hidden by long shaggy hair and a wild, tangled beard, but if you could make out his eyes, which were glinting like black beetles under all the hair.
He strode over to the sofa where Dudley hid frozen with fear. "Move over" said the stranger. Dudley squeaked and ran to hide behind his mother, who was crouching, terrified, behind Uncle Vernon. "And are these the Potter twins.Last time I saw you two you were babies," said the giant. "Yeh look a lot like yer dad, they've got your mum's eyes."" And you look so much like your grandfather but you also have your mums eyes"(Let's pretend that James's dad had blond hair that looks a lot like Amaya's) " Anyways Happy Birthday you two. I got you two something" He said as he pulled out a partly squished cake. "Sorry I migha sat on it". "Thank you so much, Oh sorry what is your name again?" " Your welcome and I'm Hagrid keeper of keys and gamekeeper of Hogwarts.". "Sorry what's Hogwarts?" I asked curiously.
Hagrid looked shocked. "Sorry," Harry said quickly. "Sorry?" yelled Hagrid, turning to stare at my uncle, who shrank back into the shadows. "It's Them as should be sorry! I knew that you weren't getting your letters but I never thought you wouldn't even know about Hogwarts "Haven't you ever wondered where your parents learned all that magic and stuff from?"The Dursleys were cowering against the wall. "Do you mean ter tell me," he growled at the Dursleys, "that these kids — this boy — this girl! — knows nothing about — about anything from their parents world?" Amaya thought this was going a bit far.She was after all one of the smartest kids in her class. "I know some things," she said. "I can do math and stuff." But Hagrid simply waved his hand and said, "About the magical world, I mean. Your world. My world.Your parents world." "What world?" Hagrid looked as if he was about to explode."DURSLEY"he screamed.Uncle Vernon almost ran away at that. When Amaya saw the look on her uncles face she started to quietly chuckle until Hagrid stared at her. "Sorry" Harry said speaking for Amaya.(Amaya rolls her eyes at him)"What are we" Amaya asked." Yer a wizard Harry. And Amaya yer a witch" "I'm a what?" gasped Amaya. "A wizard, of course," said Hagrid, sitting back down on the sofa "and a good one, I'd say, once you have gone to Hogwarts get trained. With a mum and dad like yours, what else would yeh be? An' I reckon it's about time yeh read yer letter."(AMAYA'S THOUGHTS ARE IN ITALICS) I'm a witch. Is that why I can speak to snake and do other bits of weird stuff. Is that because it's magic. " Come on both of ya" Hagrid spoke gruffly "Unless you would rather stay with 'em". Me and Harry looked at each other and then excitedly followed Hagrid ignoring our aunt and uncle. Me and Harry followed close behind excitedly, ignoring the Dursleys yelling at us. We then got into a boat and started to go pretty fast. I fell asleep a couple minutes later being lulled by the fierce waves.
