"...Fuck off."
Vrylle feels like Phantom is getting more and more vicious as the number of her mission increases. Its punishment is also more severe and hefty than the last.
What's with her arm being amputated if she ever fails the mission? What was that fuck all about?
Although Vrylle knew that a Healer could grow back her amputated arm, just letting her imagination runs wild on how her arm will be amputated, Vrylle couldn't help but shiver, mentally feeling the pain.
"Kid, get up! Don't just lie there!"
Vrylle felt like cursing again hearing that familiar voice, but she held herself since it was no use even if she really curses that annoying man. What she needed to do was to make him pay that kick she received. Vrylle was petty. Hearing Johan's voice, especially seeing his face, reminded Vrylle that powerful kick that almost mangle her.
Her abdomen then aches suddenly.
"...Please, shut up. Haa, as if I wanted to just lie here."
"You have such a gut, kid! Telling me to shut up! Kahaha! You're talking just like Val. I really like it! Fine! I help you up!"
Vrylle wanted to shrug the annoying man's hands from touching her, unfortunately, she could not do so simply because she really has no strength left.
Johan lifted the powerless little girl, and he was shocked knowing how light she was. That simple thought in his head was openly reflected on his face, though. Johan looks comical while looking at the little girl in his arms.
The person in question, Vrylle, upon seeing that look on Johan's face, her little round face couldn't help but frown. Her eyes internally berating the man.
"Kahaha! I didn't say anything! Don't look at me like that, kid!"
As simple of a person as he is, Johan was the kind of individual Vrylle would find hard dealing with. His nature of being an idiot, words and facial expressions' without any filter, would be a disaster for her mentality. Vrylle wouldn't be surprised if Johan offended quite a number of people, deliberately or not.
What was Vrylle most averse to were idiots. They could easily, yet unconsciously, pit you with them.
Such terrifying kind of people.
Vrylle must stay hundreds of meter away from them.
"Han, stop dilly-dallying. The Beast won't wait for us. It would aim at us soon. While it was still busy preying with the others, let us escape."
As the Archer said, even Vrylle could barely see her surroundings, she could still perceive the huge blurry image of the Beast chasing, preying, and wrecking havoc with humans and monsters alike.
Shrieks of the monsters, while screams of the humans, bellows throughout the area along with the sound of bones being crushed follows by a meat being chewed.
Though those sounds were different, what's made them similar was the feeling it evoke. A feeling that is nothing but pure horror. Along with it, as if harmonizing with the current situation, pleading for help, dying moans, and chaotic footsteps hurrying about resonates.
The Beast was on frenzy as blood splatter with its every chew.
"Loid, my friend. What about the mission?"
Johan's voice was serious, as if he was worried that their mission wouldn't be complete. What gives him away was the look on his face, smiling cheekily as if they weren't in a place where a monster as tall as them was around enjoying its killing spree.
