Song: nuts- lil peep, rainy bear

Death was horrible and amazing at the same time. It all depended on the day for Jade. She missed Finney so much. She hated listening to Vance bicker with anyone at any chance he got. But the guys were fun. She just wished she was aloud to leave the basement.

Was that how everyone's death was? Stuck in the place they dreaded. The place they were tortured in?

Probably not. God had favorites, and Jade obviously wasn't one. If it was her time, couldn't she have died in her sleep? Or drowned? She heard that was a peaceful way to end. Not being killed by a psychotic, ugly old man. It wasn't fair.

Finney escaped. He left the basement, he left this all behind him. Except for Jade. Her body was never found.. unlike the others. What happened to her? What made her different then the others?

As each child was buried, they were let out of the basement and 'into the light'. Now there left was Vance, Robin, and Jade. Vance's parents never bothered to bury him. They cremated him, but he hadn't left just yet because they hadn't spread his ashes yet.

It was just Robin and Jade left. Jade begged everyday for the police to find her, most likely, rotting corpse. Robin had yet to be buried, much less have a funeral. His uncle didn't have the money for it.

So that was it.

She would never return to her family, never sit in front of the couch with Finney at one am, watching horror movies that made Jade lose sleep from fright.

She would never be able to paint Gwen's fingernails her favorite shade of sparkly pink, and Gwen would never be able to paint Jade's her favorite bright red.

And she would never, ever, be able to sit in class, waiting for Robin to cheat off her math test so she could turn hers in.

Her life was over.

Or so she thought.

Jade was sitting on the mattress in the basement, watching Robin sleep. She bit her cheek, trying not to cry. That was when she heard the basement door open, and out came Bruce. Bruce? What was he doing here? He already had his funeral. He already left earth.

"Wha— what are you doing here?" Jade shuddered. This wasn't real.

"Jade.. you need to go back."

She stood up, the mattress creaking as she did so. "Go back where?"

"To your brother. To your sister. Your family. You need to fix things before.. before Finney gets hurt." Bruce told her.

"Fuck. Is he okay."

"Yes. For now. Please Jade, please."

"Okay."
