Song: Family Line- Conan Gray

IT ALL FELT STRANGE. Was this death?

Jade honestly could not tell. She felt cold. No warmth in her "soul," if you could even say that.

She was back in the basement. She felt like she was in a memory. She sat up; she was previously laying on the ground of the basement.

She saw Finney, he was watching the door, waiting for it to open and out come Jade.

But it never happened. Finney assumed the worst.. she was dead. He assumed correct, The Grabber came down the stairs and pushed open the large door, not bothering to wash the blood off him from the events beforehand.

"Guess you're going to be alone down here from now on.. she's dead."

Finney stumbled backwards, falling to the ground. He broke out in a sob, his cheeks stained red.

"NO...! No.." he cried. "No.. no no no."

Finney grabbed his hair and pulled at it, shaking. "No Jade. No.."

Jade was his anchor. You couldn't see Finney unless he was with his sister, they were a two in one package. They were never seen without the other. Would that change? Would Finney survive this without her?

He questioned this, stuttering for words, but he was disgusted. His hands were clenched in fists so tight his nails dug into his skin. They bled as he stood up, eyebrows furrowed, face covered in tears.

"YOU ASSHOLE.. HOW COULD YOU!..." he screamed, pounding his fists into the kidnapper. He backed away with a chuckle.

"You should've stopped her from leaving. I never said you could leave. I NEVER SAID YOU COULD LEAVE."

Finney screamed at him. "You're a piece of shit. You sadistic piece of shit. You killed her. You're nothing."

"YOU'RE NOTHING!" Finney repeated, slamming his fists at his chest. But he moved away from the thirteen year old boy, slamming shut the door and returning up the stairs with a cackle.

He dropped to the floor, crying louder. Jade watched as this happened, feeling sick to her stomach.

So this is what happened after life. You just, sit.. and watch. What happened to her body? Was Jades body buried, or..

She gulped. She stood up, walking over to Finney. She went to hug him, but she just went through him. "Finney.." she mumbled. "I love you, I'm sorry."

She tried to interlock her pinky with him, just as she did before she went up the stairs earlier that fateful day.

It didn't work. She felt the cement touch her pale fingers.

The tears on her cheeks fell down and dropped onto the floor. Why Jade? Why did this have to happen to her.

"Jade?!"

What a familiar voice.. Jade turned around to see.. Bruce Yamada? So she really was gone.

"Bruce.. I.."

"Oh my god," he choked on his words. "You didn't get out. He.. he.."

"He killed me.." Jade finished, looking down at herself. She was just now realizing the wounds The Grabber gave her stuck onto her body. She didn't feel them, she wasn't in any pain, but they were permanent scars on both her soul and her unconscious body.

Her battle scars, the battle she lost.

"Holy shit," another voice said. Jade looked around her as each missing boy surrounded her. She looked to her right, seeing Vance Hopper, crossing his arms and staring down at her.

Griffin Stagg and Billy Showalter on her left.

"Oh mi amor.." a voice gasped from behind her. Jade turned around to see..

..Robin.

"Robin!" She yelped, running at him. He grabbed her waist tightly, pulling her in and hugging her. "I'm so sorry my love.." he whispered. He let go, still holding her hand.

"So, I'm.." she shut her eyes and let the rest of her tears fall down her face.

For the first time in what seemed like forever, Robin wiped her tears as he always did. "I know. It's okay. I'm here with you, it's okay."

She felt ever so happy Robin was there with her. But the fact they were both gone, gone from the universe Finney and Gwennie calls home shocked her.

Gwennie. What would happen when she finds out? She's going to be heartbroken.

"It's.. it's not okay. Finney's all alone."

"He's not alone," Robin started. "We're all here with him. We're going to help him get home."

Jade sniffed as she heard a voice speak. She turned around to see Griffin, the youngest of the victims, speaking to Finney on the phone. Griffin looked at her with big brown eyes, which looked full of emptiness. His clothes were tattered, his voice still high pitched; he died so young. Nine, maybe ten years old? Poor boy.

Griffin hung up the phone and Jade snapped back into reality, glancing at Robin, then back at Griffin.

"He's going to try and escape," he announced, a fearful smile quivering on his face. Jade's eyes followed towards Finney, who was scanning his glance across the wall, looking for something. Griffin heard Finney speak, so he started talking through the reciver again.

Griffin would repeat that he didn't remember the bike code to Finney multiple times, until Finney got angry and dropped the phone. Jade watched as he tip toed up the stairs. She tried to follow him, but couldn't walk out of the room— even though the door was still open. It was like an invisible force, she couldn't leave.

"What.." she mumbled, watching Finney leave the basement.

"Until Finney escapes and closure is restored for all of us, you can't leave," Billy said this, his mouth curved in a frown.

"Yeah. But Finney will escape. He's a smart kid, we all know it." Bruce added.

Jade turned back around and heard the chase begin.

IM SO SORRY FOR KILLING OFF JADE!! I've kind of been thinking about making a Finney fic after this— but the grabber won't escape in that universe. Should I do it? I don't know. All my books, (besides this one) have been unsuccessful, so I don't have a clue if I should do it. Let me know!

And a reminder I can't respond to comments because of the stupid email verification .. mine won't work. Sorry!
