A dreamless sleep

Arriving at the hideout, you disaable your ability and look at the structure before you. Yes, structure, it could hardly ne called a building anymore. "I'll show you around" he mentions, as he takes the lead and guides you through the hallways. Following him to a room that emits a dim blue light, you take a good look around. This part of the building must be watertight at the very least, with so many computers around. The screens stack all the way up to the ceiling, and on the ground is a matress surrounded by empty wrappers and other thrash.

"It's not much, but i hope you'll come to see that this place serves us well." Right, this is your home now, it's like the saying goes "home is where the heart is" and for you that happens to be with fyodor. "Is this truely where you've been for all these months? I'm honestly suprised that you're still alive." He might treat his plans with care, but it's obvious he doesn't treat himself that way, that much is clear. "I don't really have a need for sleep, i'd rather not be found out, even if that means trading away any luxuries." He explains. "I can tell as much about the sleep part yeah..." you say glancing over his facial features, namely the eyebags.

You live here now, and you make a mental promise to help him as much as you can. You're not up to murdering people for his goals, but at the very least you can make sure he doesn't neglect himself. "Why do you care for me?" He asks. "If i had an answer to that i promise i'll tell you. I'm drawn to you, your mind. You're gorgeous to me, even if you go against everthing i've even been told." You silently reach out to hold his cheeck. Now it's your turn "who did you ask for me to come? I figured a lone wolf like you couldn't be bothered to have company?" " i would say that, in a similar way to you, you also intrigue me." He explains. "Ah, so you're curious of my curiosity huh." You say with a chuckle, smiling at the absurdity of it all. "In a way, yes, you could say as much." You hadn't really expected him to take that seriously.

"You should get some rest, i'm sure this is a lot to take in, i will be here waiting for you when you awake." He's right, you could really do with some rest, not getting a lot of sleep the past days because of stress. But even now, the dreams can't seem to find you as you lay down on the matress, perhaps traitors don't deserve dreams. Eventually sleep takes you, but it's a long compilation of black screens that aren't comforting in the slightest...

Weeks go by, and you and Fyodor are closer then ever. Not that you were as close to start with, but you genuinely enjoyed being around him, sharing many comfortable silences. With your limited skills you at least attempted to cook, while not always a succes, it was much appreciated. You had also spent a lot of time training when Fyodor was out during the day. Hoping to get stronger and more tactical in fighting, so you could support him in his quest of ridding the world of ability users. You didn't just want to fade into the background, be a housewife or anything. You had always worked in the field with the ADA, so you made it your goal to do so once more, alongside Fyodor this time. You started accompanying him to meetings, more often then not ending up blood soaked. You did a lot for him, but luckily it didn't go unnoticed. The small but genuined smiles he gave you, soft touches, and the warmth you recieved when cuddling was more then enough to make up for it. If this is your life, then so be it.
