Y/n paced from side to side. Five had finally disclosed all the details to the story and she was processing it all in her head. "Ok, so... Let me get this straight."
"You got hired by a lady named The Handler to correct certain timelines." Five confirmed her statement with a nod. "But in reality, you were just buying time to come back to this timeline and stop the apocalypse, right?"
"I was trying to figure out the right equation, but yeah.."
"So, you broke your contract and came back." Y/n ceased her pacing, clapping her hands together and turning to face them when she stopped. "Anything else we should know?"
"No, that's the full story." Luther snapped out of his daze. "You were a hit man?"
"Yes."
"Uh... But you had a code, right?" Luther questioned hoping to find any morals in Five's job. "You didn't just kill anybody."
"No code." Five replied with no shame whatsoever. "We took out anyone who messed with the timeline."
"What about innocent people?" Y/n asked next. She didn't really care, and she already had an idea of what the answer was gonna be, but she wanted to see Luther's reaction. "It was the only way I could get back here."
Luther's eyes shot open. "But that's murder."
"Jesus, Luther, grow up." Five scoffed with an eye roll. "We're not kids anymore. There's no good guys or bad guys. Just people."
"Are you hearing this guy?" Luther turned to Y/n, expecting her to side with him on something for once. "I know.."
"Thank–"I would have done the same." Y/n finished with a smirk. The man couldn't be more shocked with what he was hearing. "You're kidding, right?"
"Loser, It's just a little mass murder to save the world." Y/n said casually.
"They just killed your father's friend!" Y/n shrugged Luther off. "I wasn't big fan of Eudora"
Luther turned his chair so he would be facing Y/n. "See, this is why I can't stand you..." The man started going on and on about why he hated the girl's presence, making her let out a heavy sigh.
"Por el amor de Dios.. [For the love of God..]"
Y/n grabbed Five's arm and blinked away from Luther's endless rant. Both kids were now back at the academy. They walked up stairs and around the hallways. "You know, I feel like, since I've met you people, all I do is go back and forth."
"Shouldn't you be in school?" The girl shrugged her shoulders, but her gaze wasn't focused on Five. It was focused on something else, or to be more precise, someone else. "You good, Klaus?"
The man had obviously taken a shower before they arrived. His hair was still damp and the floor was full of wet bloodied footprints. However that's not what caught their attention, at least not their full attention. What did was how Klaus was scratching his body like his life depended on it. "Hey.. Yeah, just.. A long night."
"More than one from the looks of it." Five replied, already suspecting what Klaus was going through. Klaus nodded at Five's statement. "Don't remember the dog tags."
"They belong to a friend." The drug addict answered as he threw a shirt over his head. "What about the new tattoo?"
Klaus sighed tiredly. "You know, I don't even remember getting it. Like I said.."
"It was a long night." Y/n finished his phrase for him while he took a seat on the small couch. Five smiled irritated. "You did it, didn't you?"
"What are you talking about?" Klaus asked puzzled, he wasn't the only one confused. Y/n frowned at Five's statement. Klaus felt a tremendous headache making way in his head, which led the man to rubbing his temple with his hands.
