Shelina Zadorsky stands in the hallway, drinking her coffee and admiring the freshly installed name plate outside the door of her office inside the confines of London, Ontario's Children's Hospital.

Dr. Shelina L. Zadorsky, Head of Pediatric Surgery

"How are you settling in? Is there anything you need?"

She turns and smiles at the young man, whom she met earlier on rounds but doesn't recall his name, checking the tag hanging from around his neck before responding, "Everything is as promised Andrew, however, overlooking the bins is going to take a bit of getting used too."

He smiles, "Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about that, but we could look into securing you a nice Ficus tree or plant to bring some colour into this rather bland looking space."

"Actually, there is something you can help me with; how are you at building furniture?"

"Umm ... that depends, what do you need help with?"

"I may have gone a little overboard buying furniture for my new apartment and I could really use some help putting a few pieces together. Currently, my television is sitting on the floor of my living space rather than sitting nicely in the unit I had delivered days ago and I'd prefer not to spend another match day sitting on pillows."

"I'm sorry, what exactly is a match day?"

"I've spent the last several years over in England and football or as we call it, soccer is huge over there; match day is the equivalent to our game day."

Andrew nods, "That makes sense. I'm really not much of a sports person as I'm sure you've already ascertained. The hospital has regulations with regards to staff dating and or relationships which I'm sure having already signed off on your paperwork you are well aware of, so, it wouldn't be appropriate for me to agree to help you. I'm flattered though, as you're a beautiful woman and if we weren't co-workers, I'd be offering to bring the pizza, if, you provided the beer."

Shelina bursts out laughing, "I'm sorry, I should have been clearer; I wasn't asking you on a date, in fact, I don't make a habit out of dating co-workers or men in general, I was simply asking for a bit of help to assemble my entertainment unit as it's too heavy for just one person."

"Oh, I apologize for being presumptuous; it's just that ...okay, this is little awkward, but, I'm sure you can relate; I tend to get hit on and asked out quite a bit once women find out that I'm a doctor or on my way towards being one."

Shelina chuckles and nods, "I've had a few encounters like that and it's never ending that my friends and family try to set me up. I recently had a long-term relationship come to an end and it's part of the reason I accepted the job offer here, I needed a fresh start and seeing my ex's face on billboards and screens in and around the Tube made it difficult to move forward, she's a professional soccer player in England."

"Sounds rough, but, London, England's loss is London, Ontario's gain!"

Shelina smiles, and reaches for her phone as it buzzes. "I'm being called to the ER for a consult. I'll see you afterwards, maybe, we can grab a coffee and you can fill me in on the lay of the land."

"I'll be around."

Shelina finds the nearest elevator and checks the floor map to verify the location of the ER before pushing the button.

Making her way to the ER, she checks in at the Nurse's Station.

"Someone paged me."

"Dr. Zadorsky?"
