I didn't know how much time has passed by since I was in the trunk but it felt like forever.

I could feel the car starting to slow down and eventually coming at a clear stop.

I could hear the door being open and shut and footsteps leading towards the trunk. The trunk flew open and the same man from earlier grabbed me.

"Where do you want her boss." He didn't even look at me.

"Throw her in the cellar."

The cellar?!

The tall man watched me as his men took me through his gorgeous house down to a dark and bloody prison...

One of his men threw me on the dirty floor and I yelped. They locked the door and I crawled up to the bars.

"W-wait"

They didn't hear me... I was all alone down here. I couldn't even begin to state how much I hate the dark.

It looked like a demon of some sort could rip me out of this prison and kill me...

...

I was freezing. My mind went into survival mode. I found some old wood in the corner and tried to make a fire with them.

It didn't work, they were simply too damp for them to catch a spark. I was out of, well...

Luck

If anything I had the opposite. I was as unlucky as they came. I always believed whatever you put out into the world you receive back; but sometimes it just isn't true.

I was so cold I began to shiver. I backed up into the corner and tried to keep myself warm.

At least there was a bucket to pee in...
_______________

Korman's POV

She was lucky she even got a bucket to piss in...

She was my captive and I wasn't letting her go until I got my money. I made sure to set an offer that I knew would guarantee my money. That bitch didn't even care about her. I couldn't just rely on her feeling bad for her so called step daughter to pay me back.

To be honest if she didn't tell me that was her step daughter I would have thought she was a maid. I wouldn't be surprised if she actually was.

I just shrugged and got up out of my chair I had some business I needed to attend to.

Oh shit, I forgot... I didn't actually want her to die and loose my leverage so I called one of my men to occasionally send her food and water.

As soon as I was done my phone rang.

"Yo"

"Ay yo you coming?"

"Talk to me like that again and see what happens."

The man on the other line cleared his voice. "Right, sorry boss."

"I'm on my way."

And that's how it was for a while. Ella got her small portions of food and water each day.

And each day she would go right back to same corner and stare out until she fell asleep. Occasionally suffering from sore legs, from sitting down too long, she would walk around her cell.

As the days passed by Ella had a plan. She knew she couldn't escape but she was going to beg the guard that usually came in for a calendar and at least a book.

...

So she waited until the next day and weakly walked towards the bars. As the guard came down and gave her her food she stopped him.

Even though her voice was low he still heard her.

"P-please, I-if it's possible can I please g-get a c-calendar a-and possibly a book."

The man raised his eyebrow "no begging for freedom, not even for at least a blanket. No, you want a calendar and a book?"

Ella nodded

"I would have to ask boss."

"N-no, please d-don't." She knew he would refuse it. The man hesitated but agreed.

Later that day he came back with exactly what she requested. He even gave her a marker to write on the calendar.

"W-what's the d-date."

"January 10th"

Ella's eyes widened, it's been that long? She thought.

Nonetheless, she thanked him and he shrugged and walked away. Through the next passing days Ella could feel herself coming down with something.

She felt a terrible headache and at random moments she would get uncontrollable shivers. The only thing that came to mind was hypothermia.

Ella forgot she had no mattress to sleep on. Not even a blanket. Every night she used her body heat to warm herself up.

Soon her hopes of ever leaving slowly left her. The panic seemed to numb after a while. It was like she was ready to give up.

Her dreams of ever making it in the writing industry were crushed. She missed... She couldn't even count how many days she has missed but then she remembered she had a calendar.

She slowly got up and looked at her calendar.

...

So I arrived here I think January 5th and when I got this calendar it was the 10th so five days. The she counted all the days after she got the calendar.

She gasped when she finished counting, she has been down here for half a month. It was now the 19th. She couldn't believe how fast and slow timed moved down here.

She went back to go sit at her spot to read her book. A couple of days ago she begged the guard to get her another book.

He rolled his eyes and got her another one. She smiled, he was the only person who seemed to have sympathy for her.

Probably in her life... Well except for her parents. Their love was unmatched.

Ella smiled at the thought. She wondered were they were. She hoped they were at peace wherever they were.

With that Ella began to dose off while reading her book.

It didn't feel normal though. It was almost like she would never wake up again. She wasn't scared or sad but weirdly... Peaceful.

She might get to see her parents. To join them in peace.

Yeah, in peace... Ella's last thought before she hit the ground.
