It was a tragedy the day the twins mom died. Alice Coleman was loved by everyone in the community, she truly was a walking ray of sunshine. Alice was never one to be selfish, she looked out for everyone; strangers, child, adults, no matter the circumstances.

She passed on her beauty persona to her kids, taught them well and treated them with respect. She also gave them her gorgeous smile that could brighten up any dull room. Ray, Alice, Jordan, and Regan were the walking example of the perfect family, their life was truly one's dream.

Until one day, an intoxicated driver took it away from them. Not only did this careless driving crush into Alice's car, taking her life, but he also crushed her family's soul.

The twins were in school when the accident happened. They had just arrived back to class from lunch when their names were called over the intercom,

"Jordan and Regan Coleman please report to the principals office immediately, thank you."

The twins were never ones to get into any type of trouble so the announcement definitely ran chills up their spins. Step after step they got closer to the door and their heart beating a little more frequently along the way. As soon as they opened the door, all eyes were on them. The room felt still, cold even, like time had frozen over and had towered of the Coleman family specifically.

"What's going on?" they thought to themselves. Soon after they were faced to a sobbing Raymond with a broken heart. Their dad was never one to cry which is how they knew..something terrible had happened.

"Dad? What happened?.."

The room was filled with silence and sorrows.

Present Day

Today was the first time the twins were back in their childhood home since Alice's passing. Every scratch, every stain, every crevice of the house brought back so many memories..happy memories. So many happy memories that it was sad that they knew the rest of the memories in this house would no longer include her...

Jordan peaked his head into Regan's room. Instead of seeing her unpacking he sees his twin sister sitting criss crossed on the floor holding an old family portrait. She was in pain; as was Jordan but he has to stay strong for his sister, sobbing by herself on the cold floor.

He gently knocked on the door already opened door with the back of his knuckle announcing his entry:

"Hey, Regan.."

Regan was startled by her brothers sudden appearance but it gave her a sense of warmth with him being their. Through this whole process they've always been their for each other. They had to be, their dads been pretty emotional unavailable the past two years..

The didn't blame him though. It was hard for everyone.

She jumped up as she ran into her brothers arms. Jordan tightly embraced his sister as long as she needed.

He pulled away as he placed both hands onto her now ruby red cheeks, wiping away her tear stains.

"We, are going to be ok Regan. I promise."
