The entire Gryffindor house was ecstatic about their recent victory against Slytherin. They felt like they needed to express their joy, so after the game, a few seventh-year Gryffindors decided to host a party in the commons. The first-year group was excited about the party. They understood that Hogwarts was a place for education, but everyone who went to Hogwarts always stated that the school brought great memories which Adelaide doubted came from just studying. When the group reached their side of the castle, Cedric went down to the Hufflepuff basement to change before he would head up to the Gryffindor commons. Once the first-years reached their commons, they saw many of the older Gryffindors running up to their dorms to change out of the quidditch gear. The Amazing A's practically sprinted to their dorm, each giggling and screaming as they invaded their drawers.
Adelaide threw on a long burgundy bodycon dress with lantern sleeves and a square neckline. Her hair was already curled from earlier, thanks to Allison, so all that was left were her shoes and accessories. She grabbed a pair of 4-inch nude heels and put on small gold hoops in her ears and she was ready. Allison was wearing a puffy pink dress and silver 4-inch heels. Angelina had put on a rusted plaid pencil skirt and a white ribbed long-sleeve shirt with a mock neckline. She had decided to put her hair down and wear it naturally, which suited her. Aria decided not to dress up too much, so she decided a pair of dark blue skinny jeans and a grey halter top would work just fine. Again, Aria was leaning more on the casual side so she chose white slip-ons for shoes. Alicia had a black turtleneck on and chose to layer a brown corduroy dress on top of it, and finally, she tied the outfit all together with black combat boots.
The girls were complimenting each other and constantly stared at one another, appreciating all of their senses of style. Alicia loved the moment, so she quickly ran to her trunk and grabbed a camera. With a flick of her wand, the camera flew about ten feet in front of Aria's bed. The Amazing A's scattered and posed for the picture and once they saw the flash, they all laughed and hugged one another a bit tighter. They all headed straight for the door and immediately the smell of butterbeer, food, and firewhiskey hit their nose. The music wasn't obnoxiously loud, as the students didn't want the head of their house to shut it all down.
The commons was the most crowded Adelaide had ever seen, all of the Gryffindors were there and a bit more students from other houses than she could have imagined. There was a corner dedicated to dancing, and on the opposite side, a table full of snacks and refreshments. Angelina held Adelaide's hand and dragged her to the table, more specifically, the punch bowl. The two grabbed a cup and poured themselves a spoonful of what appeared to be butterbeer. They tapped each other's glass and were about to drink the concoction when a set of hands grabbed the drinks from them.
"Not so fast you two." The familiar voice came from behind them, causing the two to snap their heads.
Nymphadora flashed a grin at the two girls and set the cups back down on the table. She placed a hand on their shoulders and guided them to an ice bucket full of butterbeer and water bottles.
"Dora, what was that for?" Adelaide whined.
"Lai, just know that you can drink that when you're older."
"Why? What's wrong with it?" Angelina extended her neck to look at the punch bowl, analyzing the liquid inside to figure out what was so bad.
"Something only older kids drink, give it a few years."
Nymphadora finally arrived where Cedric and Charlie sat on the couch, signaling for the girls to take a seat on the floor. The three sat by the feet of the two boys. Cedric didn't notice the girls at first, he was too busy pestering Charlie for tips and complimenting him on the match. Charlie chuckled and was flattered to have a fan. The boys finally noticed the girls and the five began to converse about how Hogwarts was treating the first-years and the sixth year's plans for the future.
