You had just graduated high school and planned on working for a bit while waiting on your CSAT results. While walking around with your friends, you saw a job opening for a barista at the café near your area.

The next day, you went to the café and applied for the job. You were immediately accepted and was taught the basics before you start working the day after. It was all new but very interesting to learn.

When you first started working, you were mostly at the front working the cash register and taking orders but just a few days later your manager saw that you were getting better already at preparing the drinks so you got to pick whichever you want.

Throughout the time you were working, you had noticed a high school boy coming in everyday. It was to a point where you memorised his order and prepared it for him a few minutes before he arrived.

"Noona," The younger boy called to you showing you a double thumbs up "You're amazing for always having my drink ready."

"Since you study here every single day, it's the least I can do to help," You softly smiled below your mask "I was a high school student too so I get your hard work."

"Thanks noona, here." He pulled out his wallet to pay for the drink

"It's my treat today." You handed him the drink

"Really?" His eyes widened then squinted a little to look closely at your name tag"Thanks (y/n) noona!"

"No problem." You showed him a thumbs up back

"Jungkook, Jeon Jungkook." He introduced himself

"No problem Jungkook-ie." You grinned at the younger boy before he skipped to his usual table

You and Jungkook actually became friends over the three weeks that you worked at the café. After getting your results and getting accepted into the university of your choice, you went to the café to talk to your manager and resign.

"Good luck on your studies (y/n)," Your manager gave you a light pat on your back and joked "You're always welcome to work part time here if you want."

"I will come back as a customer though." You laughed a little

Excusing yourself, you bought a coffee and said goodbye to your friends there before heading out. Just as you exited the café, you bumped into Jungkook so you checked the time on your phone and it was exactly when he would usually come by.

"You're not working today noona?" He asked

"I'm not working here anymore Jungkook-ie," You chuckled a little "I'm going off to study."

"Woahhh," Jungkook looked at you amazed "Which uni did you get into?"

"I'm going to SNU." You replied

"So when are you going to Seoul?" He asked after you mentioned Seoul National University

"Monday." You answered his question

You and Jungkook talked for a while more over coffee before you excused yourself to get back home since there was still stuff you need to pack up before your flight to Seoul in three days.

Those three days passed by pretty fast and it was suddenly Monday. You woke up a little earlier that morning to get ready then double check all of your stuff before heading to the airport.

"Are you sure you have everything?" Your mother asked as she watched your father and you load the luggage into the trunk

"Yesss, I've already checked a few times." You nodded your head
