Classes were now in session, and Wangji was internally screaming.

'He knows, he knows! Maybe I can get rid of Wei WuXian somehow... No, no. Don't stoop to murder. That's a last resort kind of thing.' He thought as he sat at his desk.

Everyone was currently sitting in silence either doing something at their desks, or simply sitting idly. It was free study time, so everyone was either using the chance to relax, or cram some last minute studying in.

Looking around the room without moving his neck, Wangji's eyes went over to Wei Ying who was dozing off at his desk.

'Look at him. Sleeping at his desk. What's he dreaming about? Ways to end my career?' Right now, Wangji was going absolutely nuts, and he was going to tip off the edge if anything else happened.

All he could do was pick a god and pray to it for mercy.

"The sixth rule, accumulate virtue and merits. The seventh rule, be compassionate. The eighth rule, be loyal filial and dutiful." His uncle's voice cut through room like a whip. Currently, Lan Qiren was leading a class and was reciting the Gusu Lan rules.

Yet again.

Almost everyone had trouble focusing, and Huaisang and Wuxian were already nodding off."Wake up." Jiang Cheng whisper shouted, hitting Wuxian on the head.

Quickly getting up Wuxian looked around, hoping no one saw him sleeping. Smiling to himself, Wuxian swiftly threw a crumpled up piece of paper over to Nie Huaisangs desk to get his attention.

'Honestly, these two are going to be the death of me.' Jiang Cheng thought to himself. Now doodling while chewing down on some snacks, Wuxian had on his signature ' I'm about to make trouble' face.

"Be virtuous, be kind. Be merciful and understanding." Lan Qiren sternly said while walking around the room with a disciplinary paddle, which Wangji thought was rather ironic.

Taking his chance, Wuxian stuck a poorly drawn turtle with a long beard on his back.

Instantly the whole class broke out into laughter. Even Wangji had to do his very best not to laugh. Shaking his head in fake displeasure, he quietly took the drawing off his uncle's back.

Looking over to Wuxian he gave a look that could only be described as' bro really'.Honestly, considering that he wasn't glaring at him, Wuxian considered it as a win.

'Turtles, huh. Maybe I'll do some embroidery later.'

Although the class continued, Wuxian wasn't done with his gimmicks just yet.Reaching into his robes he pulled out a small red paperman.

'Let's see if this will get anything out of him.' he smirked.

Transferring a little spiritual energy into the paperman, it stood up like a cute puppet. Throwing it in Wangji's direction, it floated across the room and attracted Lan Qirens attention.

"Wei Wuxian!" Master Qiren shouted, while the paperman landed on Wangji's headband... Much to his unawareness.

Unfortunately, one of the downsides of being stressed is not noticing things.

At that moment, the entire room all had one collective thought.

'Does he really not know?!'

Awkward silence rang as Lan Qiren's face slowly turned red.

'Why is everyone looking at me? Is my forehead ribbon crooked?!' Feeling around on his head, he finally found the paperman. Slowly looking over at Wuxian he gave him a glare filled with pure unbridled fury, before crumpling it up.
