Will you all stop gaping like a fish out of water? Gosh, you're all acting as if you've never seen civilization." Wangji puffed next to Han Jihua as they led the trio down the bustling Jiangnan streets.

"Wei Yi-gege, you've been here before!"

Han Jihua openly laughed in surprise, he was 100% going to find out how that happened and make sure that his dearest and most clueless friend ended up in the arms of that hazel eyed menace he just called Gege.

"Well, it's different when it's daytime!" Wei Ying defended with a pout looking at an interesting little gadget.

"I'm really just still surprised that your vocabulary is more than 'Mn' and 'Boring." Huaisang chuckled, momentarily mesmerized by a large opera pavilion.

"Yeah." Jiang Cheng added, wondering just how on earth buildings could be that tall. The sun beamed down on the large buildings and numerous lanterns that hung down from large cords that went from either side of the street.

If the streets of Yunmeng were considered a three out of five, then Jiangnan wasn't even using the same measurement scale.

"Where are we going exactly?" Jiang Cheng crossed his arms, pretending not to look impressed by the sights. He was doing quite badly and was openly gawking at everything that they passed.

"My house, obviously." Wangji answered, turning a corner onto a large, lengthy street of luxurious houses with plaques that said things like 'Shangguan Family residence or 'Deputy Commander's Residence'.

"You have a house?!" Huaisang and Wei Ying simultaneously shouted in disbelief.

"What, you think I live inside the shop?" Wangji turned around, raising an eyebrow as he walked backwards while talking to them.

"Well... Yeah." Wei Ying embarrassingly admitted.

"Seriously? Do I look like I would choose to live inside a shop if I have enough money to buy a house?" Wangji raised an eyebrow, while the three of them looked at his glistening magenta and carmine robes that looked like they cost more than their lives.

Han Jihua laughed as they all silently agreed with themselves that that was a foolish notion to have as they followed Wangji as he walked backwards with such ease, they all assumed he did this at least once a day.

"So you live on this street," Huaisang said, nodding to himself as he eyed up the Deputy Commander's house. If he wasn't mistaken, and he hardly ever was, that must be the house of the deputy commander of the famous Brocade-clad guards.

Just how much money did Wangji or Fuyu ShangYe have to be neighbours with someone like that?

"Well, we're here!" Wangji proclaimed, not turning around.

Yep, he did this at least once a day.

The five of them were now faced with an enormous gate that was the size of the front gate at the Unclean Realm, but with the luxuriousness of the main gate at Koi Tower.

"Welcome to my humble abode," Wangji said, walking through the gates, while the three just followed him without any words.

"Humble?" Jiang Cheng irksomely said, once again pretending not to be impressed, while the Huaisang and Wei Ying gaped at the sight.

It was an enormous open-plan siheyuan that had large topiaries and bonsai trees. There were large dark wood pavilions that were connected by a grand arch bridge.

The principal house at the front was enormous and tiled with smooth matt black tiles, while the eastern wing and western wing had rigid red tiles that looked just as expensive.
