Chapter 12

If the Lan patrol guards were more efficient, the two very drunk friends would not have been able to break into the Cold Pond.

Lan WangJi had a perfect memory, even in his very very very drunk state, he was able to recall the timing and routes.

"Shhhh, we dosh wanz gerds back."Wei WuXian giggled and fell into Yanshi when he nodded. Together they fell into the icy water and fell for what seemed a very long time.

When they came up for air they were no longer outside but inside a cave. Which they both found funny as they made their way to shore. Falling down and laughing, Wei WuXian saw the bunnies on the shore first."Oh bunnies! I wanna petzz thum. Yanshi I wanna fluffy!"

"Mn... Bunz are good, I wanna gets one! They ,hic~ make great coat lining."

"Yanshi! They can heear."Wei Ying slurred, covering the ears of one of the fluff balls. 

The two stumbled into each other and in a big jumble of bodies rolled around laughing and trying to catch a bunny.

It was WuXian who fell onto the table holding a guqin."Yanshi look! Play me a song!" Shivering he began to strip off his new blue robes, which were now far too heavy and annoying, and soon he was down to his wet inner robes. Swallowing hard, WangJi watched and then copied Wei WuXian, when stripped to his inner robes as well, he sat down and strummed the strings.Wei WuXian cooed and hummed before singing a dirty song

"Favours of Duke Ling are generous~ Love of the half-eaten peach never dies~ Oh, for you, I feel so amorous, your love makes gold fall from the sky~"

Even though he was drunk, Wei Ying still managed to form his words well enough to make the melody sound sweet and pleasant. 

Blushing and laughing, Lan WangJi started loudly singing along.

"How sincere your love is for me! You forgot your appetite and thought only of giving me good things to eat! The emperor meets Dong Xian at dawn, they share wine out on his lawn!"

The two gave each other a cheeky grin, as they both sang the final verse in unison. 

"Raging fire and dry wood, that provides no shade~ He offered him his pillow and mat, with stolen scent and pilfered jade!!"

Both jumped, hearing a female voice that strangely sounded just like Lan Qiren yelling at them. "Shameless! How dare you! You have breached the sanctity of the Cold Cave and desecrated my guqin! GET OUT!!!"

Looking behind them, they were now faced with a very angry woman dressed in Lan Clan robes and a vexed scowl on her face which was almost identical to Lan Qiren's. Which made Wangji shiver and snap out of his drunken stupor for a split second, before the two of them felt a tug in their stomachs and a large gust of air. 

Then the two found themselves being pushed by an energy field that shoved and pushed them off their feet. Reaching out, Wei Ying grabbed Wangji into his arms as the cyclone of wind sent them flying into a strange glowing portal.

After falling, Wei Ying  landed hard with Wangji still in his arms. Both blinked, seeing that they were back where they had started. Wei WuXian's room.

With a hiccup, Wei WuXian passed out, and WangJi not wanting to move decided that sleep sounded good.

"Well, I'm glad you two have decided to sober up before paying me another visit." The woman said while Wangji wanted Wei Ying to hold his head underwater until he stopped moving. 

"Um, we're really sorry for what we did yesterday." Wei Ying apologized in the cute way he did whenever he was caught drinking. But it didn't seem to work on this woman.
