"you were there sitting beside the swimming pool, wearing a blue sky dress, perfectly fitted with your colour-attracting skin. Hair moving all sides sliding like honey, eyes sparkling fireworks, lips smiling like a crescent moon. That heart-shaking voice of yours I could enjoy back then when you whispered your magical spells. I never knew if these were enough reasons to talk to you. With a compliment I started, with a kiss we could be departed, with my heart I told you and with my hand I held yours..." I kept writing on my notebook, glancing at her like a painter, the words I drew could never fly, neither me neither my heart could ever lie how beautiful she was under the sky.
_" excuse me" I waved with my hand "what an astounding accent you've got".
_" thank you" she addressed to me,then looked back at her phone.
_" Ayn is here, maybe you'd like to see her" informed a friend of mine. I walked away from that place and went to see the girl who just arrived. She was one of my good quality friends, by whose art work I'd always be impressed. I wandered for few minutes with her, talking about many things that were worth mentioning to discuss;such as education, music, art and literature. For a moment, the girl was requested at home, she had an emergency call from her younger sister who used to be a notable reader in our area. After she was gone,I looked around to join a group of fellows, until I noticed the swimming pool girl accompanied with a girl looking like her age, they passed by me and I heard "poor guy" whispered followed by a laugh as I was left alone without Ayn as she left.
_" Hey...No...Wait!" I stuttered trying to make the situation clear but the girls went on walking and asked me to come after them to the pool if I wished to talk. I found it weird at first, but right after they explained,I eventually obeyed.
_" you guys got it wrong. She was asked to go home. We're just friends, there's nothing I would feel bad about. "
_" we believe you" they said in chorus looking at each other smiling.
_" speak Netherlands?" Inquired a friend of mine from the back,I was surprised how he suddenly appeared with no signals. The two new language speakers started a conversation with slangs and words neither me nor the english speaking girl could comprehend. The latter went to sit where I was earlier having time alone, and stayed still looking at us up till I joined her. Then, and only then, that first sight chemistry began to show up;staring eyes, words crossing one another, that simple kind of connection was the only necessary step to make it work. She was quiet lovely as a person.
_" what were you writing in that diary? If you don't mind me asking"
_" I was writing poetry" I answered flipping my notepad then gave it to her. She opened a random page and commenced to read: _" Beautiful enough to attract stars,a body hurt, full of scars. Your heart is a city full of lights, where one can enjoy the brightest nights." She read the lines following rythmes, turning page after page like a catalogue of paintings.
At night in bed,I couldn't picture what could happen after that imaginary evening, wether she was gonna be in my tomorrow or I'll be in a prison of sorrow.
In the morning,I perceived her walking, facing the exit door, the thing that pushed me to go see what she was up to. She was in a rush, yet she promised to come back.
Little while later, she returned in a swimming suit willing to relax inside the water. The pool was almost full, however,we had our part of it,we merely noticed one another,as if we were the only people floating there. The lady was on my left, looking at me with these splendid eyes to whose speculative beauty I couldn't handle the sight. She sat on the pool edge for a moment, meanwhile I stayed in the water gazing at her with a sunlight over her face giving her a look of an existing angel.
_" you never asked for my name" she stated
_" what's the point of knowing your name when you're so charming, you've got lots of names already to remind you of yourself. Sometimes your name is beautiful, more often it's gorgeous, rarely attractive, but always pretty. " I talked continuously imposing a silent on her, noting with complete attention my words. We stood inside the pool face to face, eyes connected like knots, physically close that the distance between the two of us nearly vanished.
As I took a vow to never fall in love again,I felt something wrong going on;I couldn't touch her hands nor approach her head,it felt like I was imprisoned. I took a step back with my eyes still admiring her, though I was prevented mentally from her touch. In a wink,my feet blocked out of cold,I could barely keep my head on the surface, trying to keep balance with my arms. I put my hand out to obtain some help to the nearest edge where I could stand, and I couldn't have done it without her. Without a word, she held my hand, pulled me with a hopeful touch like dreaming of a sinking boat sailing landward. At that moment,I knew by heart, that not only I fell for her because she saved my life, but because she could hear my silence when I couldn't even speak, when I had so much to say.
We quit the place wet from head to feet, the girl ran towards her house with her yellow gold towel that almost flew cause of the wind. About me,I stayed with my friends in the garden to play cards. In the middle of the game,I noted the young lady coming back. She stood there beside the swimming pool waiting for her friend to come. I called her from my seat, invited her to sit with us until her best friend comes again.
In an instant, she got up and waved to me leaving her spot and went straight home.

In the evening,I was fond of the way she looked,a long wet hair exceeding her shoulders, wearing a long black dress pointed with bright minuscule stones like a sky full of stars, and she was obviously the moon. She was beautiful in all shapes.
We wandered around the garden minding our own business, not concerned with the external world. We sat on the grass, and just behind us there were red and white roses with an aromatic odor. I picked a couple for her from both colours displaying  my sincere appreciation for her.
_" there are no stars we can see tonight" we both looked up to the sky as I declared. She began to smile carrying her decent looks on me like a princess from the ancient era.
_" but I guess there is somebody even prettier than stars beside me" I commented " this bright angel" she giggled softly while I continued on my speech," this bright angel I could never touch, believing it was prohibited". With a sweet laugh she responded saying triple of what I have referred to,and made me feel the same way I did for her.
_" Kardia" I called as I stood up,then she gave attention to me and waited for something to come out of my mouth.
_" remember when I told you that I no longer believe in love, and that for me it was just a literature illusion.."I glanced at her then resumed" also when I said I'll never be fooled again". Words never ceased to come out, That happy face she was holding was enough to see the world differently,a heart sweet as sugar, harmless like a dream, comfy like a home. Like a place that has never been inhabited by humans,a place where only flowers and butterflies were born.
_" I was fooled Kardia, completely." My facial expressions were exposing me in full that none was left to hide from her,and how could I! She never said a word after that, still, her gestures were reassuring my heart. She realised I quit relationships long time ago,she simply knew that I loved her for the sake of love, and that nothing else mattered more.
I turned on my phone for some music, but the miss preferred to surf on Instagram instead, and what's more interesting she kept scrolling looking for something beautiful to see. She found a poem, read it secretly with her intense pupils. I got a bit closer to her, glimpsed at her,and re-read it poetically.
Near that place, her friend joined us,we talked about few things, this latter had doubts about a conflict started between her and a guy who pretended to love her those recent days. They couldn't agree on things, she lost trust in him,and he had no way to take that back. The couple continued on arguing face to face during which Kardia and I settled by watching them like two peaceful birds in their nest. Unexpectedly, the Bel-Âme hugged me with her agreeable arms placing them around my neck, the moment I held her back, I caressed her smooth hair feeling home better than any other home. And that was the last time I remember seeing her after all.
