𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 gun echoed in my ears, I was trapped. We were trapped. My daddy had managed to escape as had Daryl, they didn't look back. "L-Let go of me." I stuttered feeling the gun pressed against my head. "I warned ya, ya should've just come wi' us." Gem sneered to me, gripping onto me with all her might. "W-What are ya gonna do ta me?" I questioned, tears welling in my eyes. I didn't wanna die, no way. I had people to live for, a future. Gem wouldn't tell me however, I felt betrayed, "Bring her out!" The older woman yelled, one of the Governor's men brought out a crying, shaking Beth.

"Ya let go of her right now!" I yelled trying to wriggle out of her grasp. "Don't ya go and do this ta me, ya leave ma girl alone! She-she's too good for this world ta be hurt like that." I tried to tell the pair. "Tell me why I shouldn't, gimme a good enough reason." Gem ordered pointing her gun a shrieking Beth. "Addi... It's okay." She attempted to promise me. "Take me instead, ya know ya wanna... Come on, kill me! Don't hurt ma girl." I begged of her. I shut my eyes as I heard the gun cock once more, praying she'd shoot me, yet she didn't. I heard a loud shriek, my eyes flashed open to see Beth falling onto the floor...

I shot up from my bed, gasping for breath. "Hey, Addi.. Ya okay." Beth promise me, she wrapped in into a hug as she stroked my hair to calm me down. "I-Im... S-Sorry." I stuttered, "Just breath, inhale... exhale." Beth told me as I breathed in and out, catching my breath. "What happened this time?" She wondered gently, this wasn't the first time I had a nightmare. Beth realised how often I had them and would often sleep in my bed, I didn't have that with anyone before.

I shuffled closer towards her, sitting up and rubbing my eyes. Beth placed her other hand in mine, assuring me, comforting me. I love her. "Ya ain't gonna leave me, are ya?" I croaked out to her, sniffling as I did so. "Of course I'm not, what would cause you to think such a thing?" She asked me softly, I met her eyes. "In ma dream, I couldn't protect ya. I-I lost ya, ya left and I couldn't save ya." I quietly admitted to her.

"Addi, ya don't have ta save me- just being with ya brings me a happiness I cannot just explain ta ya." Beth softly told me, I let out a small smile before getting up out of bed. "What are ya doin?" She wondered with a raised brow, I'd began to scavenge through my bag. "Just lookin'." I vaguely replied. "How much more do ya have?" The blonde coldly asked, my tongue piercing ran across the roof of my mouth. "Not much, but daddy found some more." I replied continuing to look, yet I couldn't find anything. I spun around to her, "Ya took it didn't ya?" I sneered stepping towards her. "I didn't take nothin'." She sternly promised me.
