——"Just as I'd suspected

——"Just as I'd suspected. Nothing. Not only is your homeland not listed on any map from any point in history. Now, are you QUITE sure that you come from such a place? That wasn't some sort of lie, or jape? Because if so, the only explanation is that you've come from another planet. Or perhaps you were summoned here from another dimension?" Crowley pondered, holding his chin. "I-I wouldn't lie!" Emily exclaimed, a worried look crossing her face. "No, I'm not lying." I stated simply, crossing my arms with a scowl.

"Show me everything that you brought here with you. Do you have some form of identification, a driver's license perhaps? Or even a...shoe? You do seem a tad bit...empty-handed." Crowley muttered. Emily frantically shook her head "no". I patted myself down and found my driver's license...nice. I handed him the license. "Hmm...I am not familiar with this place...it seems you indeed are not lying." Crowley sighed, handing it back to me. I shrugged and put it back.

"Well, this is quite the predicament. I cannot have someone with no aptitude for magic bumbling about my magic academy...nor someone who wasn't sorted into a dorm. And yet, as an educator, I am loath to expel two people without a cent to their name, or any ability to contact their guardian...Truly, my grace is boundless." Crowley smirked to himself.

Oh jeez, what was he planning now? "Hmmmmm... Ah! There is a vacant building on this campus. It was, in fact, used as a dorm a long time ago. With a proper cleaning, it should be habitable enough. Out of the profound kindness of my heart, I will allow you two to live there for the time being." Crowley said, looking down at Emily and I. "R-Really!?" She stammered out, a bright smile on her face. "Cool." I answered.

"In the meantime, we will investigate other ways to send you home. Dear me, but I am a gracious man indeed! A model educator, one might say. Well then, I shall take you to your dorm straight away. It is an older building, but it has plenty of...character, one might say." Crowley shuddered. Uh oh, I don't like the sound of that.

I turned to look toward Emily as Crowley led us out of the library. "So, how old are you exactly?" I wanted to know this because this is a college, a fine establishment, and I would rather a girl that acts and looks 12 not go here. Her face flushed as she turned to look up at me. "Y-Your t-t-talking to me?" She asked, eyes shimmering with hope.

"Uh...yeah?" I raised a brow with a scowl. "S-Sorry, it's j-just...n-not many p-p-people t-talk to me." She sighed, a sympathetic look on her face. Hmm, I wonder why that is! "Are you going to answer my question or not?" I sighed, glaring down at her as she squealed. "I-I'm 17..." she stammered, putting her index fingers together again. I'm sorry what? She's seventeen!? Why does she act like she's twelve!?

"I have another question." I stated, looking ahead toward Crowley. "What's the relationship with you and Reed?" I want to know this simply for the drama. "O-Oh! T-They're my s-sibling! A-Along with being my o-only friend..." Emily whimpered, on the verge of crying again. Yeesh, just how fragile is she!? I grimaced as I scoffed.
