HEAVY weights usually kept her anchored to her bed on days like these. When the sun was in hiding and her brain decided that it was reason enough to have her curl up in a cocoon of thoughtless melancholy. This time around though; a husky voice lifted her spirits as her eyes opened.
“Breakfast is ready Sunshine.”
Her own grin took her by surprise when Noah winked playfully as he handed her a tray filled with food. Food she would never be able to finish on her own. He splayed himself at her feet and took a bite out of his own toast, a pretty sparkle in his eyes.
Two consistent months of this routine had encapsulated Sabrina in a world where she could never imagine anything without Noah. His infectious smiles and intense stares. He made her feel worshipped; doting on her every movement and word.
They had become one another's every exhaling breath so fast that the fog couldn't lift around them. All Sabrina saw was Noah and all Noah wanted to see was Sabrina.
Like every new romance, they fell hard and fast. A meteor burning as it was pulled by gravity down to earth. Eventually the impact would occur. And the fire would dwindle down or be extinguished entirely.
For now, at the beginning of it all, love felt just like waking up from all your worst nightmares.
